Delay in periods

My periods were due on 20th august but I didn't get it by then and I had protected sex with my bf on 22nd august..but I had a doubt that the condom was not worn properly so I took I pill within 24 hours for safer side..Its 28th august and I still didn't get my periods..I inserted my finger in my vagina and found little blood but the periods have not yet started...I'm worried..What could be the reason?...Am I pregnant? What should I do?

Thank you for your answer. Yes we always take protection but this is the first time that my periods have been delayed for so long..So should I wait for my periods to come or should I visit a doctor? I'm confused as I'm getting blood in my nail when I'm inserting my finger in my vagina but the periods are not coming...

Hi there and welcome.  Well, if you took the morning after pill or Plan B, then you gave your system a big dose of hormones to shock it so no pregnancy can occur. The after math of that is a blip in your hormones so that you can't count on when your period will come or when you ovulate.  This can go on for a couple of months.  I would be very serious about protection as you don't know when you'll ovulate again.

I doubt you are pregnant, sincerely.  It is most likely that you are now irregular for a bit due to the hormones of the pill you took. good luck
