Did anyone get crazy labia itch after using scented tampons?

I suddenly started having terrible itching in the labia minora and a bit in the labia majora.  I have never been sexually active or had anything in that area of my body save tampons. Even so I don't use the higher absorbency ones to avoid toxic shock syndrome.

I take showers consistently and I change my underwear so I know my itchiness isn't from lack of hygiene. I always wipe from front to back when nature calls.  And I am in my 30s so its not a menopause issue.  I am completely baffled at this development.

The only thing I thought could cause such an irritating reaction is that I used scented tampons.  I always use unscented but I accidentally picked up scented tampons at Wal-Mart the other day in a rush home from work.  The tampons are the scented, regular absorbency ones, labeled Platex Sport.

I'm hoping the itch goes away because it happens on and off during the day and night. It is SO HARD to not scratch or rub and it is terribly annoying when the itch attacks me in public.  Ugh!!

This is only day two and I'm praying the itch corrects itself by the end of the week.  :(

Try getting the unscented ones.
