Discharge--doctors can't seem to give explanation

My youngest sister is 15, has a normal period and is sexually active.  However, she has a thick yellow, sometimes green, discharge from her vagina that she always complains about.  It doesn't seem to have a specific time that it shows up, it just always randomly comes.  It makes her uncomfortable and no one can seem to figure out what it is.  Sometimes it is a clear discharge, but like early stated; most of the time it's a thick white, yellow, or green discharge.  I'd like to be able to give her an answer to what this is, so any input and advice would be great.  Thanks.

As you mentioned she is sexually active, ask her if she into anal too? Have heard such comments from ladies whose sex partners do vaginal & anal at the same time. Just imagine adding anorectal bacterial flora to vagina.

Get the discharge examined under microscope, with & with out a stain.
Secondly get it cultured.
In my opinion you should get a solution.

There's no itching or burning, so she says.  The only actual problem she's having is the constant discharge.  She is sexually active but she's never had anal sex.  We don't think it's a yeast infection, but then again...we aren't doctors and we still aren't sure.  It's such a confusing problem, and all we want is a solution.

is it itchy? irritated? burns? sounds like a yeast infection maybe. is the discharge like "cottage cheese"? if she never has had a yeast infection before, she should go to a dr. so they can say whether/not thats what it is. if she has had them before, going to a local drug store and getting an anti-fungal cream (7 day monistat for ex.) should clear it up if it is indeed a yeast infection.
