Well when I first went to the doctor the gave me I think it was flagyl and It worked for two days no discharge & no odor so then my period came and after my period it came back, I have went to the store and got a (vagisil screening kit for vaginal infections and the pH test came back 6.0 the first time couple months later I did it again for 2 time it was 6.5 on the ph test guide it says if it's 5.0 or greater it could be (BV or Trich) i went to the doctors and they said it was negative.  She gave me **** test and she said my ph balance was bad but didn't find anything. So do you think it would be good to try a pH balance soap? I have had a pelvic exam done and they said it was fine, should I get a std screening done I'm still a virgin but I have tried twice before. I will be going back once again but just trying to figure out something to make it go away.

Could be BV. Or could be your body's natural
way. I am 35 and had a new partner. Developed BV for the first time in my life. There's no mistaking it. It's unholy down there.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause of abnormal vaginal odor and discharge. It is caused by a change in the type of bacteria found in the vagina.
The exact cause for the change in type of bacteria is still not known, but it is can be due to IUD’s,multiple sex partners or having intercourse with a new partner.

In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole((Flagyl, MetroGel) and clindamycin (Cleocin). They are available as pills or vaginal gels or creams. Please do not use any vaginal douches.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
