Does drinking a lot of water effect when your period comes?

I recently just got my period and the 28th of April was supposed to be when I was due. But for some reason it hasn't come. It's been 5 or 6 days past that date. And I was wondering if thats normal for a girl who just got her period. I have been drinking like 3 to 4 bottles of water everyday, and was wondering if that could be the reason. My first period was really heavy for just starting you know and I didn't drink much water because we didn't have much at the time. So if you could tell me why this is happening pleas do. Thanks!
