Does menstruation pattern change with age

Hello! 4 months ago I turned 20. My first two periods after turning 20 were normal meaning they were usual for me - no PMS and no cramps, painless period , lasting for 4 days, medium bleeding.

However, these last two periods were nothing like what I have had before. The first day I have cramps, like not exactly cramps, but it feels like all my tummy muscles have tightened. It is a bearable pain, maybe sligthly uncomfortable, and starts when my period starts and usually fades away in the evening. Not trying too sound gross, but all the time it feels like you want to go to the toilet, but you do not. And this period lasts for 5 days, as far as I can judge, medium bleeding again.

So I was wondering, is it normal for the period pattern to change with age? I read somewhere that when you turn 20, your hormones change as well. Thank you for your answers in advance!
