Dreams are the contents of the collective unconscious mind. And, through dreams we process and vent such information as memories, impressions, emotions and anxieties. Dreams are very healthy and I wouldn't classify them as "fake" but rather as being symbolic abstractions. They don't always make sense... but they do have significance and meaning behind them. I think that you're fortunate that you can recall half of them. Most people have absolutely no recollection of their dreams.

Night work is notorious for screwing up people's sleep patterns. Your problem may be nothing more than that. Everyone falls into a dream state before falling into a deeper restful sleep. You may not be progressing beyond that first state, hence your constant and unrestful dreaming.  It's the daylight that messes with people's sleep, so try to go to bed in a as dark a place as you can find and avoid the usual distraction like noise and caffeine. Good luck.
