Dry skin fixers???

I have to moisturize heavily every day. I have always used 'for sensative-dry skin' products for as long as I can remimber. I moisturize with Vitamin E oil and Cocoa Butter mixed, and I use Oil of Olay for sensative skin on my face... But lately I'm experiencing VERY dry and chalky skin even after I moisturize.
I'm 5 mo preg. so I pay extra special attention to my middle area, and I have no itching of any sort there. My face, shoulders, chest and legs mainly. I tried a pineapple/sugar scrub to take away dry skin, and that worked for a few days but now its back to chalky even after I moisturize.
Does anyone know of at home remedies to cure it? I'm starting to feel like a dry sponge... Anything under $20 :-D
THANKS SO MUCH!

When I take a  warm, not hot ot cool shower, I don't dry off completely, then I add whatever lotion on right after i get out of the shower, so that way my skin absorbs the lotion better.
And I usually will use baby lotion or skin so soft. Just rub  the skin so soft right on your skin with your wash cloth.
If you can stand the smell of it.

Jenni, Sounds like "The Mask Of Pregnancy" Not all women get it but there are those who get it really bad. You could read up on it and ask your OB at your next visit for any suggestions on how to treat it. I am  BIG cocoa butter fan so I don't know what else to seggest. Hope all the other suggestions work out for ya.

I will post this here just in case you didn't see it earlier.

I have a comment for you reagarding your bleeding episode on the 14th. I'm Rh negative too and the doctor said if you have any bleeding whatsoever, you need to come into the doc's office. If there is a tranferrance or mixing of blood between you and the baby, it can be harmful or deadly. Did they explain what Rh negative means? Have you gone to the doc yet? Your body could be producing antibodies against the baby if you've had any of her blood mixing with yours and your body would turn on your baby and any future babies. Just wanted to warn you in case you didn't know. I have to get that shot too at 28 weeks and again at labor.  I hope you see this soon.  Let us know how everything is going.

Eucrin and Aquaphor are both great.  Dermotologists write a lot of Rx's for compounds that contain these two moisturizers.  They both are very thick.  The Aquaphor almost looks like vasoline, but it is very good.  Ask a pharmacist as your pharmacy they should be able to recomend something.  Hope one of them helps and best of luck!!

Eucerin IS really good for dry skin. I live in AZ and we haven't had rain in like 120 days or something like that. You can get it at Walgreens or Osco. There's a REALLY thick formula that comes in a little tub, and then there is the pump lotion. If you're REALLY REALLY dry, the thick one is good for those nasty spots!

The Eucerin is under $20, about 7 or 8 for a bottle. Hope you find something that helps!

Try Aquaphor.  That was mine and my sister's choice when on Accutane which really dries you out!

When I was on Accutane I had SERIOUSLY dry skin from it. I used Eucerin and it was great. It's a little pricey but WORKS. Otherwise I used to take baths with baby oil in them. and that helped a lot. (Made a mess tho). Good Luck!!
