we used to have the strawberry ones which are nice, but some of them taste disgusting i know. all the milkshakes (jus normal ones) normally say low fat on them, so they're not ideal

A person can gain weight just from drinking regular milkshakes in between meals.  Drop some chocolate sauce and malt powder in them for a few more calories.  They don't have to be those medically-enhanced shakes.

lol im 25 and kind of in the same situation, though not as drastically (5'8 and 9 stone) and i keep having the same problem - just eat more!!
basically if u eat healthily and excercise a little you should be fine. if you go to the doctor they can give you these shakes, they taste just like milkshake really, but they worked for my sister. protein shakes could work either???

84 pounds?  Is that right?  I'm 5 foot 6 and my best weight is between 120 lbs. and 124, so I see your problem.  Have you talked to a doctor about this?  Have you suddenly shot up in height or have you always been slight for your height?

Weight comes on when we do more calorie input than outgo -- in other words, we gain when we eat more calories than we burn.  When people are trying to lose, they stop eating as much and increase their activity.  You would need to do the opposite, if you have a really active life then it really would be a matter of eating more of the kind of food that has a lot of calories.  A famous competitive swimmer won the Olympics and one of the articles about him published his diet -- he was eating something like a full day's food at every meal, and of course did not have an ounce of fat on his body, because he worked out probably 8 to 10 hours a day.

However, if you have tried this and nothing has happened, I would also wonder if you have a medical condition that is causing the problem.  Have you ever had your thyroid checked?  This is why I was asking if you had seen a doctor.
