Empty Sack

by MsMoreno, May 29, 2007 12:00AM
Hello I would like it if someone can help answer this for me or, help me to understand what's really going on.I went for my first u/s today but all the doctor found was an empty sack should I be worried?I know I didn't have a miscarriage because I haven't seen any spotting or felt pains. But I don't understand to why I would have an empty sack if I'm pregnant with a lot of the symptoms not only that doesn't it depend on when a guy cums in the female and not by the last period? Please some one email me back @ ***@****

Hi. I had a similar situation last year. I went to the doctor for my first appt at 9wks, only to be told that there was a sac but no baby. After, numerous ultrasounds I was told I had a blighted ovum and had to have a D&C. That is where the sac forms, but for some reason the baby never forms. Hopefully, this isn't what is going on with you, but you might want to ask your MD.
