Endometrial Thickening

I just had a transvaginal ultrasound and was told the endometrial wall was thickened to 9mm and i just finished my period which is supposed to be the time when the lining is thinest. I have had 2 previous polyps removed (2 yrs ago and 4yrs ago). The doctor will be doing a hysto songram. The radiologist initially suggested a biopsy or the hysto sonogram. I am worroed that the radiologist suggested a biopsy. Any thoughts

I, too, just had a transvaginal ultrasound and was told that it showed 'a small uterine fibroid, some ovary cysts, and a thickened endometrium'. I was not given specifics on measurements though. My gyn. has given me progesterone to help with bleeding but said she would do a biopsy is I wanted. I am also concerned. I don't know if I need one or not since she just said "if I want".  I am 43 yrs old, had my tubes tied, and am sick of pain and heavy bleeding.
