I have been experiencing light vaginal bleeding for almost a month. Every once in a while I will have sharp shooting pain inside my vagina. I recently lost my virginity right before I was to get my period and took a Plan B the next day. A week later I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis which I took metronidazole for. I was tested for STD's and was negative. However the bleeding started shortly after I finished the medication for BV. During this time I also had a swollen gland on the left side of my pelvis which has since gone away.
I suffer from PCOS as well and wonder if it is related. I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago and have never experienced abnormal vaginal bleeding.
