External vaginal irritation

I Just got back from the gyne once again. I don't have a STD yeast infection or sign of any infection but I have such irritation and skin soreness on the outer labia. The doctor prescribed me the same stuff as last time. It doesn't help it's a antifungal cortisone cream. I thought I had cytolitic vaginosis and asked the Doctor . He never heard of it. I have done everything possible wash with allergy free soaps dry off well. yadda yadda. It was itching last month outside now it hurts. I thought it went away . but It came back without the itch Help

I just read your post about vaginal irritation (posted back in 2008).  I have a similar problem and I'm very frustrated.  I have external vaginal soreness that won't go away.   My doctor also said I do not have any STD's or infections.  I don't usually have much itching, just soreness.  My doctor gave me a antifugal/cortisone cream that DOES help but after I use it to ease the soreness I only get a couple days before the soreness starts to return.  I am SO sick of this cycle and feel lost as to what to do.  Did you ever figure out what your problem was?  Maybe I have the same thing.
