Extreme Pain During First time Sex

I am 21 and myself and my boyfriend decided to have sex a few days ago, this being my first time. He was fully erect and I was aroused but he could not penetrate more than a couple of inches into me. Any further was extremely painful and he described as if he was hitting a wall. I have inserted my fingers since and it feels like there is a bend almost? I can feel an insertable path but it seems not straight. This concerns me greatly and I have no idea if it may just feel that way? Is this normal and do you think after more attempts at sex the issue will resolve. Or does it sound like something that needs to be corrected.

You are most likely just fine.  Your anatomy is probably not abnormal.  Relaxing the first few times of sex can make a big difference and you may just be very tense whether you are sexually aroused or not.  Our bodies are built to have babies through that hole!  So, try not to worry and just take it slow.  Artificial lubrication can help and make sure to ALWAYS use birth control.  If you continue to be concerned. all sexually active women and adult women should visit a gynecologist once a year for a pelvic exam.  Do this and ask at that time.  You can go somewhere like planned parenthood if you need a clinic setting.  good luck
