Extremely Heavy Period with Dark Red Globs

I have been exclusively using tampons for years and on a suggestion from a friend, I decided to use pads this time. My cramps are a lot better this time, but I am having an extremely heavy period with big red globs. What's the deal? I literally bled through 2 pairs of pants while wearing a pad only before deciding to use a tampon/pad combo. I am changing my pad and tampon every hour or so.

hi i have the same problem and i have tried everything u could think of and still doesnt help i dont even get a regular period every month and thats y mine come so heavy and painfull but i am so glad that i am not the only one

keep track of the amount of supplies you use. it is normal to pass clots during mensruation, usually no larger than a small tangerine. if you are passing larger clots, have spotting between periods or continue having extremely heavy periods, contact your doctor because large clotting and heavy bleeding may be indicative of a problem

WELL IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT TAMPONS CAN SOMETIMES PLUG YOU UP.... IT DOESN'T LET THE BLOOD FLOW FREE LIKE IT NEEDS TO.... THAT IS WHY YOU WERE HAVING SUCH BAD CRAMPS... WHAT I USALLY DO IS WEAR PADS AT NIGHT AND WHEN I'M AT HOME AND WHEN I'M GOING SOMEWHERE I USE TAMPONS... IT HELPS OUT ON THE CRAMPING AND IT KEEPS ME FROM HAVING TOO HEAVY AND CLOTTY OF PERIODS...
