Female sexual health

I'm seeing that vaginal tearing is more common than I thought; I am wondering on average-how long does something like a tear take to heal? I'm concerned that my tear is quite deep as it happened a few days ago and still continues to bleed quite a bit-should I consult someone about having this codderized?
