First Ultrasound date and Conception date? PLZ ANSWER!!!

When u have ur first ultrasound and the tech tells u how far along u r, how do u track the date that i concieved going off of that. arent they different? my u/s showed im 8 weeks on June 5th, so i counted back to April 11th.

I believe that they go back to the first day of your last period and then forward 2 weeks to when you would have ovulated. They then base the due date on lunar months. I'm not exactly sure how a lunar month differs from a calendar month, though.
