First time taking birth control

by helloitscicak, Feb 02, 2007 12:00AM
My doctor just put me on birth control last month because I was bleeding excessively. I would get my period twice a month and it would last for about 2 weeks each time. I started the first pill right after I finished my period. And after 2 pills I started my period again. Is this normal for the first time taking the pill?? I'm still on my period now and I'm still taking the pills everyday at the same time. Should I stop taking the pills until I finish and start a new pack? Or should I just keep taking the active pills even though i'm still on my period??

Are you sure that your period was 'over'?  I would place a quick call to the dr.
