Flaky & itchy scalp? Help!?

Hello! I have been having this problem for a couple days now, before this problem i had sticky roots but i feel i must have solved it at least for now. I know have a rough hairline when i touch it and there's a couple flakes when i play with it but its not noticeable at all. It is itchy sometimes. Do i have symptoms of dandruff or lice? help!

Also, i don't seem to have any rashes or any of the things i search when i search psoriasis, so i don't know if it could be that.

Hi, I do think it sounds like psoriasis.  I had this many years ago on my scalp.  I saw a dermatogist a couple of times about it.  he actually had me use an over the counter shampoo that has 'tar' in it that I will look the name up for you.  I had no problems with my hair with it.  I use it maybe once a month now and I color my hair---  no issues using it.

Again, tar is in the ingredients which is the treatment of choice for psoriasis.  Cleared up the problem for me.  the shampoo is brown and smells not so wonderful ( a bit like a tire) but then I use conditioner after it which makes it smell good.
good luck
