Fluid in the Cul-de-sac?

i had an abdomen/pelvic US and the report states there is fluid in the cul-de-sac??? please help me, i dont understand?

Did  you have a cyst that ruptured?  Usually this is what has happened when thy find fluid in the cul-de-sac.  What else did they find if anything?  You should be able to call your doctor and get the results of your tvus.  I hope all goes well for you.  Kasie

i had a ct scan of the abdomen&pelvis and my docter said i have to see a g.i. docter i would like to know one what is a g.i. also they said they see as in thier words ventral hernia.intraperitoneal fat without any bowel loops,but there is some inderation of the fat seen.cul-de-sac fluid,most likely post ovulation in nature.thickened antrum which requires an upper g.i. to assess.
