Folic Acid and Colon Cancer???

Did anyone hear about the latest studies regarding the link between Folic Acid and Colon Cancer?  Scientists now think that Folic Acid, while it decreases the risk of other cancers, it increases the risk of colon cancer.  So, many women would be at risk because they were encouraged to take pre-natal vitamins which are high in Folic Acid.  This scares me because I took pre-natal vitamins and continued to take them after I gave birth because I thought it was good for me.   Anyone else concerned?

I dont think its much of a problem... SO many women have been taking them for years and years and years, but i know alot of women who took them and never got any types of colon cancer. If you think about it , deli meat at your local store causes cancer as well as caffein and sugar, so dont stress it. If you are concerned talk to your doc and if you have a hisotry of it then i would consider only taking it during ealry pregnancy (since thats the crucial stage for folic)
