Friable cervix

by amyliz, Sep 27, 2008 06:23PM
I stopped taking bcp in april and have continued to have unusual spotting at random times ever since.  When I quit taking pill before my daughter was born,I only did this for a month or so.  I don't bleed after sex w/ hubby, but sometimes spotting can be heavy and lasts several days.  At 19  I had colposcopy for pre-cancerous cells, all paps since (32 now) have been normal.  But at my annual pap this year dr said I had a friable cervix that when shebarely touched it it bled.  She said once results are back if normal she will give me some cream, but didn't specify what kind.  If abnormal, send for ultrasound.  She said my ovaries didn't feel abnormal.  With all the research I have done, most women bleed after sex, I don't so I'm confused.  And we have been married for 11 yrs, faithfully,so HPV doesn't fit either.  I'm hesitant about the cream, since we may want another baby.  Any thoughts would be nice,
Amyliz
