Getting Pregnant?

by BDL13, Dec 03, 2008 09:17AM
My BF and I have decided to ttc. I finished my last pcak of BC Pills on Monday 1st of December (it was the last sugar pill). My first day of my period (on the pill) was November 28th. I will be on my period probably until the 4th or 5th of Decmeber. We are going to start trying right away. Is it possible to get pregnant right after stopping the pill?
Also this will be my first pregnancy (god-willing) and I was wondering if I should stay away from certain foods and stuff. I know all of the obvious things-like alcohol and smoking. But anything else you can tell me would be great. Can I take advil for headaches? Use a heating pad on my back? I know that I should take folic acid supplements, But would it be as helpful if I just took a prental vitamin- like materna?
Any information I can get is going to be really helpful so please dont hold back!!!!!!
Thank you in advance

if your having all these questions and are trying for a baby then you really should buy a book and read it. it will be really helpful

and as for the folic acid. most prenatal vits have it and you dont need to take the folic acid supplements. you should just go pick up vits or supplements and start taking them. see a doctor! they can tell you what they think is best for your needs and your body.

my body was very low on patassium my entire pregnancy and didnt find out till i was dizy and almost passed out. the vits they gave me did not have the amount of patassium my body required during pregnancy.
