Getting pregnant after NuvaRing...

by boxerlover, May 29, 2007 12:00AM
I had been on NuvaRing for just a little over a year (prior to that, on a bunch of other birth control pills for about 6 years).  Recently, my husband and I have decided to start a family.  I've been off of the ring for 2 months now, with no positive tests.  Both last month and this month I've had some sporratic spotting.  Just wondering, how long does it take for most people to return to a normal cycle after stopping NuvaRing??  My husband and I are having sex about everyday/every-other-day during my fertile time...does it usually take people a long time to concieve after being on NuvaRing??

They say that the dose of hormones are actually lower than the pills, but everybody is different. It should regulate in 3 to 4 months. Best wishes to you and good luck conceiving.
