Getting rid of ost pregnancy chub..

by jackiemoo, Nov 28, 2006 12:00AM
Hey guys,

Well this is my second baby. I took me about 1.5 years plus to get rid of all of that chubb that I had form my DS. I gained about 50 pounds but started out a bit under weight for my height. Anyway it was mostly in my tummy. This time I have not gained weight anywhere but my tummy and my hips.

Any ideas for hip and tummy excercises that work well? Has anyone tried hoodia??

Diet and exercise are the best and most effective ways to lose weight. In my case with all three kids nursing was very effective. Even with this onew being my third, I had dropped 25 lbs by 11 days pp and was down 35 lbs by 3 weeks.

Now to tone you should do 30 minutes of cardio at least 3 times a week and then target specific areas like arms, abs, legs three times a week as well with strength training.

Good luck!

Hey lady. Congrats on your son. The luggage they leave behind sucks though. I went from 127 to 235 with mine. Not very bright ,I know. lol I tell everybody  - I do tae bo. Billy Blanks ought to pay me to advertise. It really works!!!! Use commen sense. Don't eat things ya know ya shouldn't. Don't deprive your self of a craving though. If ya want chocolate. Eat a SMALL peice. The craving will only holler at ya more if ya don't answer. Don't eat after supper. Eat supper around 5. I went back to the times country folk ate years ago.My Grandma calles it -breakfast, dinner, supper. I eat my larger meal at dinner. It gives your body more time to burn the calories. Eat a salad or something small for supper.NOTHING AFTER THAT. When your body hollers around 8. Don't give in. your body is burning the calories you've eaten already. If you eat then ya burn what you eat then. not what you have eaten. Make sense??  Exercise!!!!!!  The tea bo has bands that you use while your doing cardio. It really builds muscle tone too. Go check out his web site. He's really good !!! Good luck! You can do it....... I did.

I forgot to add, if you plan on nursing, don't cut calories until after you wean and don't go fat free either. Your baby needs you to have a solid diet in order to have good milk. Not to say you should be a glutton, but don't actually diet. I eat whatever I want, when I want and I still have lost a ton of weight and actually weigh less than when I got pg and my little man just turned a month old yesterday. Add to that I have not done any exercising, well nothing formal. i wrestle with the boys, spend 99% of my time carrying my baby (okay, not really that much but it seems like it) and the typical cleaning and household stuff.

I don't plan on actually working out for a while, need to wait until my tailbone heals.
