Getting worried about my 11 day period...

I have been on my period for 11 days now. I took Medroxyp Ac 10mg. I was prescribed 5 pills to take 5 days in a row. I took 2 of them 2 days in a row skipped a day and took 2 of them 2 days in a row and didn't take the 5th pill. Would this have something to do with why I am going on 12 days tomorrow being on my period?! I took the pills the prior months correctly like directed and my periods were normal (5-7days).

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Medroxyprogesterone is usually given for only a few days in a row each month. You may need to start taking the medication on a certain day of your menstrual cycle and it is not safe to take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Since the bleeding has not stopped get it checked by your doctor and also get menorrhagia ruled out. Excessive amount or duration of menstrual flow, at more or less regular intervals is called menorrhagia. Sometimes it is associated with polymenorrhea(Frequent flow, cycles of ≤21 days)Causes of menorrhagia are Hypothyroidism, Endometrial proliferation or hyperplasia like ovarian tumor and polycystic ovarian disease, endometrial polyps and neoplasia, endometriosis, fibroids and uterine sarcomas.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

It could have affected since you did not take as prescribed.  I would visit or call your doctor or pharmacist to find out if this is a possible and/or likely cause.
