Got thrush need advice

I did a very stupid thing last week and had sex with a guy that I hardly know, I had got myself drunk and we initialy did not use a condom, then we decided that we would "finish off" in other ways.  This resulted in my getting thrush.  I started with pain down below initially, but then one night I noticed I had this pain in my tonsil and my gland was up on that side of my neck, when I looked, I had white spots.  The following day, my vagina was itching, and throat was no longer sore but scratchy irritated feeling, it did itch occasionally.  So, I saw my doctor and he gave me 150mg of fluconazole and some Nystatin Oral Suspension.  He said it would clear it in a couple of days.  I took the capsule plus the first dose of nystatin straight away last night, but today my oral thrush feels worse, like it's gone down my throat, and my vagina also feels a lot worse than yesterday.  I understand things something feel worse before they get better and the gland on my neck is going down now but I feel now like there's a lump in my throat so I know the thrush has spread quickly.

My question is... now long does it take to clear up once you have had the treatment?

thrush is an oral yeast infection. You can also get it from being on antibiotics or from a new Birth control etc etc.. men USUALLY...rarely ever get yeast infections...however possible but rare...babies are usually the ones who get thrush from passing through the mother's birth canal and the mother having a yeast infection..

personally i think you may have had a yeast infection and did not know about it and by using no protection and finishing it off other ways you gave it to yourself...during my pregnancy i had yeast infections..gave it to my ex once..the best thing to help the below probs is over the counter monistat.. i took the prefilled 7 day applicator and day1-3 it burned soo bad and was intensely itchy.. hence why they say to wait until night to take...it will take a few days to go away..if by any chance thrush has some of the same outcomes when on treatment then it will take a few days.. good luck
