I did IVF and had the embryoCea transfer on July 4th and then ended up having a normalNormal saline flush period from July 9-15th (which came 4 days earlier than expected, if it was to come). Then my nurse told me to go in for a blood test on July 11th and my HCG level was 29 and I went again on July 16th and it went up to 112. They said it was slowly rising but not as they would expect. They sent me in for another blood test on July 20th and they said the HCG level had decreased. Could I have been pregnant and miscarried? Or has anyone experienced this and has there HCG levels increased before and have gone on to have a viable pregnancy? I have all the symptoms of pregnancy (tired, sore breasts, lower back pain and changing breast appearance).
Please help! I am scared and I am losing all hope! This was our 1st IVF attempt. Thanks for any help you may be able to offer! :)
I would try to have the hCG levels checked about every 3 days or so. My doctor told me that hCG levels should doubleDouble-tussin dm every 2 or 3 days. Some people's levels rise slower than others and I've heard that to be ok. But I would push for them to check them every few days to make sure they keep rising. Especially if you said they went down. I miscarried a few weeks ago and went on to have pregnancy symptoms for about a week after. I know that not knowing is hard....I've been there. I think staying close to your doctor and having your levels repeatedly checked will help to ease your mind. I hope everything works out the way you want it to. Best of luck.
