If you dont feel better in another day or two then you should def see your gyn because they can perscribe a Diflucan pill to work along with your insides to knock this thing out. But they may want to see you though. Feel better.

You may need to see your doctor.  My daughter recently had her first yeast infection.  Unfortunately, she waited a few days before telling me.  She tried Monistat and the burning sensation increased.  The doctor gave her an oral antiobiotic of some sort, and said she waited too long to use the internal medication and she was too irritated to use it.

i woke up this morning and my symptoms have returned a little. i'm not quite sure if it's just because the medication isn't done working, or i didn't get rid of it. =/

thank you! i think i caught it when it was early. i'm just so glad it turned out to be a yeast infection, and not something worse! it's more or less just an uncomfortable feeling, but i SHOULD wash the medication away, right?

yes it's normal. it will continue to leak. that's why it's a good idea to wash often down there until it's all gone. For me sometimes I have to do two 1 day courses if its really bad. I'm glad you feel better.

It may be that the insert is working on the inside and that it's sending the infection down to your exposed and irritated vagina opening and causing further pain. You can try to wash your privates several times a day especially after using the toilet. keep a disposible cup in the bathroom and fill it with water and if it doesnt hurt too much use a mild soap while sitting on the toilet and wash and rinse both your vagina and rectal area and dry very well and add some more itching cream and make sure if your using a panty liner to changes those often as the infection will sit on the pad and irritate you more.
