HELPPP!!! Period ended Tuesday, now I'm bleeding(lightly) again.

Please someone I need some advice. K-I didn't discover this untill after 5 p.m. on Friday, so my doc's office is closed for the weekend, but I'm going nuts and do not wish to be going nuts for the whole weekend, just need some ideas on what it COULD be. I had normal period last month, though spotting and backache for 3 days prior. Period lasted 6 days and was COMPLETLY normal, light then heavier than tapered off.  Then 27 days later, last week had a normal period, also completly normal, light, heavier and than tapered off, had a backache for first few days, then period ended Tuesday(after 7 days). Then today, Friday, after doc's office was closed I went to bathroom and had some blood and a small clot, about the size of a pea, I get these with period usually anyways, I have a high platelet count. I'm still bleeding lightly, no pain or anything. I'm hoping it will stop w/in a day. Also had sex with hubby on Tuesday eveing, just trying to provide all relevant info here. Could the clot have been stuck and stopped the flow a few days a go, and now it just pushed through and this is residual flow? I'm confused, kind of freaked. I can't call doc, it's not really an emergency so I don't want to bother her. I plan on calling on Monday if it hasn't stopped, just curious as to ideas on what it could be, if anyone else has had this etc....? I know it's not medical advice on here, just wanted ideas, opinions to get me through the weekend untill I can call doc. Also, I am not on any birth control and am married, we are trying to have a baby and have been last few months. Thanx.

i would get them checked, but i've heard clots can also be caused by stress. you have higher estrogen? thanx.

It doesn't seem like the clot stops it, I always just assumed it was hormonal, as if my uterus just doesn't contract continuously because of higher estrogen or something. Maybe I should have my platelet count checked again. This last month I had about 5 or 6 large clots (prune- to plum-sized).

thanx that's helpful to know someone else is going thru it too. like i said it has now stopped, only lasted 8/9 hrs. i was up late last nite, so everytime i went to the bathroom i checked. but, yes mine is quite clotty too usually, doctor said it's from higher than normal platelets in blood, the things that makes blood cells stick together. mine aren't high enough to worry about, yet. when you have this happen does a clot come out with it when it comes back a few days later? like perhaps it was stuck and plugging things up a bit? this is my best theory so far. i can't find anything online about it, but since it's stopped i will try not to worry unless it starts again, hope not though. thanx.

Just to help-- my AF does weird things like that sometimes. It'll last 5 days. I'll be sure it's over, then a day with nothing, then it comes back for a day. not every month, just once in awhile. (I know this is TMI, sorry) Mine's quite clotty, too.

how old are you?  It is common to spot as we get older.  I would not stress too much.  Stress can alter your  body behavior.  Good Luck
