I was told about 3 years ago I had HPV. I had the pre cancer cells removed and never went back to the dr. I finally went back and had a pap. i am scared to death they are gonna find those cancer cells again. The Dr told me I need to have my boyfriend go to the Dr but I am scared to tell him that I even have HPV. Help....

If your boyfriend can't handle the possibility of cancer, then he is not the one for you.  Talk to him; if he's someone you see a future with, he'll be thankful you told him.  Best of luck to you.

From all the recent commercials, HPV may have been sexually transmitted, but then so can yeast infections.  So, you have nothing to be ashamed about.  You never knew at the time how it came about.  What I think you should do is wait for your results, then take a deep breath and tell your bf.  At least at that time, you'll have all the facts.  Or, if it's easier, after you get your results, take your bf with you to the doctor and let him/her tell him.  I would probably do that.  You can't predict what your bf's reaction will be, but at least the doctor would be there as a buffer.  Hope this helps a bit.

I was told myself last october that i had pre-cancerous cells
after a pap and colposcopy due to HPV
I am REALLY surprise that your doctor did not follow up on you after they took out the pre can cells..
i have to do a colposcopy (sort of like a pap) every 6 monthe for 2 years to make sure they dont come back.. it is true what they say in the HPV commercial that some women it clears up on its own but some d'ont..
for sure if you have sex with a partner he has hpv also...
I've been with my boyfriend for 11 years and believe me when i was told i had pre cancerous cells my worries were not what do i tell him.....
You should be more concern about your health....
what treatment did you have?
