Have to change tampon every 15 minutes due to blood clots
I am 19 years old and still a virgin. I have had a pretty regular period since I was 10. I normally bleed for 3 days, stop for a day, and bleed for one more. When I started my period this week, I went through the usual cycle except its been several days longer. However, the length of my period isn't what concerns me.
Yesterday morning, I woke up with blood on my sheets. I went to the restroom and pulled out my tampon and a blood clot the size of my hand came out. About an hour later, I had already bled through my tampon. I then had a blood clot half the size of the first. By the time I went to bed, I was having to change out my tampon every 30 minutes. Today, I have to change it every 15-20 minutes. And every time I change my tampon, I have a blood clot the size of two fingers.
I obviously have had blood clots before, but they were all smaller than a quarter. I am getting extremely frustrated. I am supposed to take a road trip tomorrow, but I can't even be in the house for 20 minutes without bleeding all over the place. And I am not in a position where I can't see a doctor for a about a week or more.
