Having pretty big blood clots in my cycle

I am only 19 yrs old, Im not sexually actinve, I'm still a virgin. But I have an irregular period. I'll go for like 3-4 months without a period then have one for a month, its normally heavy, but that doesn't really bother me. Recently I've been peeing/pushing out blood clots that are a pretty good size, way bigger than a quarter, they'll come out on the tampon, along with in the toliet. I'm not sure what to do, I've called the doctor and they won't see me till the 12th of june. I'm just wondering what could of caused this or what I can do to prevent it. I don't even know what it is. I'm kinda scared since I'm younger.

Have your iron and platelets checked - I have huge clots bigger than quarters but smaller than limes.....I'm also anemic.  I can literally feel them coming and push them out......been like this for 20 years - Docs not overly concerned.  Talk to your Dr. on the 12th.

I would get the blood clots checked out.  You could have
uterine fibroids or polyps.  I don't believe it's normal
for someone your age.  Check in with your GYN as you
could become anemic.

Im sure you are just fine, I have had big blood clots like that all my life. As for the period cycle, not sure why you go that long, I know that when I was younger I would have my period for 10 days straight and go 1.5-2 months without my period. As I have gotten older my period is now on a set cycle. Your body is probably adjusting to becoming a woman.

clots are normal according to all dr's, they say we should be thankful for them as they keep us from bleeding to death. As for the missed cycles for 3-4 months at a time i think that should be ur biggest question for the dr you are seeing. It could be your horomones are off or possible PCOS

Don't stress about it, but definitely keep your appointment on June 12th.  You'll feel much better after discussing everything with the doctor.  Write down your questions on paper if you think you might not remember all your concerns.

Good luck!
