Heaviness in pelvic area

Hi again

This may sound like a dumb question, im 18 weeks pregnant and for the last month or so every now and again i get a real feeling of heaviness in my pelvic area.  Could this just be the baby lying in an awkward position?  Or maybe my round ligamet muscle? Its not painful just a bit uncomfortable and it only happens when i stand up.  I tried lying down, thinking that if i changed the way my baby was laying it would help, but it just stays the same.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal?

I'm almost sixty, and for about a year have had increasingly severe pain in my pelvic / hips area when I'm on my feet, to the point where I'm now almost crippled, can't stand for more than a couple of minutes, or walking for more than a short distance without the pain and discomfort making me have to either sit down or lean against something. I've also lately developed tingling in the whole of my right arm and hand, and pain in the soles of my feet. My doctor is doing tests, but so far X-rays have shown only mild arthritis in my hip joints.  The pain on standing or walking is more like a heaviness, but my gynaeocologist says everything's normal.  I'm frightened and desperate, anyone have any ideas?

Help!  Am I pregnant?  This may sound stupid, but I am in my forties and married, never been pregnant before and have several symptoms...not sure if it’s early signs of pregnancy or womenopause (not menopause).  Ok, here are the symptoms...cramping, funny feeling in my breast (like an instantaneous electronic shock), white creamy discharge, at the start of my period (a week early)...I got a bloody spot about the size of a silver dollar and for the last two days a dark brownish very light period about the size of a couple nickels, I have been depressed and crying, lost my appetite for several days, lately fixed on eating ice cream and lamb with cumin, headache and sore throat, one day I was a little vomiting, I can smell people smoking outside of my home and I have stayed in bed for three days and just would like to be alone.  What do you think?  From Aliyah986

Aw, me too, I hit 24 weeks today and feel that heaviness sometimes more than others.  My little one is sitting really low on top of my bladder, but my Dr. said that's normal since I have already had one before and he was large, stretched me out a little.  Anyway, I notice when he sits in certain positions that I can really feel it.  Just wait till they get bigger!  It's kinda exciting isn't it to feel your little onhe in there.  I can't wait!

Yes, it's the common heavy pressure feeling of pregnancy.  Nothing is wrong.  It's just one of those things, and it will probably get worse before the end.  I've been feeling it now for quite a few weeks, and I'll be 24 weeks on Saturday.

It's common, and it's more common in women who have already had children, the abdominal muscles are already stretched and relaxed so they don't support as well as they did the first time around.  I'm 17 weeks, and I've noticed that I feel a heaviness when I stand for too long, like washing dishes.  What number pregnancy is this for you?
