Heavy bleeding for past one week.

I did not get my periods in the month of Feb and March 2016.
Now in April I started spotting and for the last one week I have been bleeding very heavy.
I have to change my sanitary napkin every two hours.
I also have clots. However, it is not painful.
I am taking Ovasital and metformin for the past 6 months.
Why is this happening and what do I do next?

Hi there.  Sorry, that's a long time for heavy every two hour pad changing bleeding!  I'm sure you are tired.  Honestly, I'd call your doc that is prescribing your medications.  Are you on metformin for polycystic ovarian disease?  Long cycles and abnormal bleeding is common for this disorder.  Not sure how metformin would impact that.  But do check in with your doctor.  If the bleeding goes on past 7 days, I would also call your doc or if the clots are bigger than a quarter.  good luck and let us know how it goes.  I'll be interested to hear back from you as to how this resolves!
