If it is for a few second, that will be fine.

Good idea to keep cleansers off that part of your skin and just wash gently with water and pat dry.

I was meant to buy some hair removing cream the other day, but forgot in the end.  I want to get rid of my moustache.  I normally pluck and that hurts.  Tried the threading once some months back when I got persuaded to have a go when I asked what someone was having done at the salon. Well, if they had any customers waiting, I am sure I would have put them off.  It was agony and I didn't half yelp with pain.  I don't fancy that again!

Have you tried hair removing cream before on the moustache area?  If so, I would love to hear your feedback on that.

I have seen the adverts for the "NONO" and phoned up the company for a price last year and decided  NO, NO!   It is so expensive.    :)

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thaank yooouu!!!! That was prettyyy helpful, no I actually meant the upper lip part, its a combination of elica cream and another thing that I can't read what the doctor has written he said to apply twice daily for a weak, and already the redness of the area has reduced, only the minute i apply it, it has a burning sensation for like a second, is this a problem?? I use a soapless gel cleanser so that shouldnt touch the area?

Contact dermatitis will usually itch, and can drive you insane.

I presume when you say you waxed your "mustache area "i dont know exactly what is called" " I presume you mean your pubic hair around your vagina - is that correct?  Or do you mean the moustache that is above the upper lip and under your nose?

If the creams you have been given are cortisone or steroid creams, do apply them as directed. Do not put too much on as they can thin the skin.

It seems to me as you have had a severe reaction to the chemicals in the product and my advise is not to use it again in the future.

Wash your area without using any soap, bath or shower gels.  Just use cool mater and dry gently.  Apply a thin layer of the cream that you have been prescribed.  If you experience a burning reaction, then do not apply any more cream.  You will need to contact the dermatologist again, if you experience any adverse reaction to the creams you have been given.

A good home remedy for any inflammation or itching (anywhere on the body), is to apply natural set yogurt.  This is very cooling and will help to reduce any inflammation.  Can be used for itch due to fungal infections and on sunburned skin as well as inflamed joints due to sprains.

Only wear cotton underpants.  Nylon and manmade fabrics will make you sweat more and make any soreness and/or itching much worse.

I went and saw a specialist he said it might be contact dermatitis! And gave me a combination of some creams and he said it will heal without leaving a scar

Ugh,  it stinks, doesn't it?  When we are trying to improve our looks and we end up dealing with something else!  Try the cotton ball or towel that has absorbed milk and apply that.  It might help with the redness.  Let me know how it looks in a few hours.

I immediately applied ice to it and then slept I thought by the morning there will be nothing left but i woke up and it was the same redness. The wax wasnt hot though, it was the kind of waxt strips I bought. And I don't think I have allergy to these kind of stuff, cause My skin is not that sensitive although I have been on accutane for almost 5 months, could that be the reason? I have applied sudocream on it since i woke up and also an oil i dont know whats called in english, the burning sensation is better but the redness is the same

Hi there.  Oh gosh, I'm sorry to hear this hon.  Sounds painful.  Is it like a burn from the heat of the wax coupled with irritation?  After waxing, it helps to run cold water over the burn area and apply ice.  You can still apply ice.  And perhaps put some aloe vera on the area (pure).  Dab it on rather than rub it.

Now, I want to make sure this is a burn type of thing and not an allergic reaction.  Allergic reactions usually have little bumps.  It usually shows up one to two days after the waxing.

Another thing you can do is to dip a paper towel or cotton ball in milk and then place on the area. The lactic acid in the milk can reduce redness.

Good luck hon.  If it gets worse, please consult your doctor.
