Help! Thinning perineum skin
Ever since the birth of my first child (I have two) I have had pain during and after intercourse. It's a burning pain just outside the vaginal opening on the bottom. I saw a doctor who told me that the skin there is very thin and it is most likely the cause of my pain. She suggested that it may be due to two episiotomies from child birth. She wants me to try an estrogen cream to "plump" the skin on the perineum but, it is very expensive without insurance. Does anyone else have any info on this??

Also, I have very frequent yeast infections and am missing periods (have had many negative pregnancy tests).

Help!!!

What about a "natural" estrogen cream or gel, such as wild yam?  It is estrogenic and I don't think it is as expensive as the real thing.

Wild yam? Is that a cream that I could find at a health food store?

Absolutely.  Also available as a gel, probably the latter is only online.
