If your worried about getting checked and your Dr. isn't, and your having pain go to the ER or see another DR.
I am 4 weeks gestation time, 7 weeks since last period and my HcG is 6,932. I ovualte late in my cycle
That makes me feel a tiny bit better, sort of. The Dr.s office called back and they finally are letting me get my draw!
I told them, Just get me thru this week and I promise I won't be a nut anymore!!! LOL
I have seen alot of ectopics with high hcg, as well as low hcg and not doubling. I am going to be a nervous wreck until my u/s. I am at high risk for ect. and with this Dr. not wanting to do my draws right, I am going beserko. I also had some pain in my right side this morning that only lasted a couple of seconds, but it happened about 5 times.
Thanks for your help.
There is a huge range of what is considered a normal hCG number, just google "beta hCG" and you'll find charts with answers all over the place. My fertility clinic told me the number can even vary within the same day. Even if it was ectopic, you have a bit of time before it becomes a problem if you are only two weeks off ovulation, so try to relax until your second draw. (This isn't the first time in a pregnancy that you'll have to just "hurry up and wait," LOL.) Good luck!
Thank you Annie! Belive me, I know the hurry up and wait thing. I called them back and had to Re-explain everything I already had told them at my first draw, I gave them a copy of the Protocol to follow, they said they would. Now it's like some freaking HUGE deal to take some blood. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Thanks!
Early ectopics will have a low hcg, because the egg is implanting somewhere other than the uterus. With my ectopic, I was still testing negative at 4 weeks.
I don't know. Why are you concerned about it being a little high? Low hcg is when people start to worry.
If you ovulated a day or two sooner than you thought, that could be the reason.
Honey, don't make promises like that. I can promise you many more obsessive moments during this pregnancy.
ps -- My 14-days-past-ovulation hCG level was in the 400s and it was because there were twins. Did you think of that one? LOL
LOL!!!
And yes, I did think of twins, but the probability is higher of the other. Twins would be great though!:)
my hcg levels were amazingly high in my last two pregnancies... and they were not twins nor etopic pregnancies :o) With my second child they were INSANE numbers... I think I was 3 or 4 weeks and one was 980-something then 48 hours it was nearly 3000... they were going STRONG. LOL... then last time, I hadnt even missed my period yet and my hcg count was over 300... the next week (so when I should have gotton my period) my numbers were nearing 3000... I wish I had exact numbers but my pregnancy journals are at home
Good Luck!
At 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml.
________________________________________________________________
Here is a sample listing of expected HCG levels based on time after conception:
* 0-1 week: 0-50 mIU/ml
* 1-2 weeks: 40-300 mIU/ml

-Okay, I already had read this, it is confusing to me because it has 2 different numbers for the same dpo.
According to the top one it should be 17-119, with 48 being average.
The second one says 1-2 weeks past conception: 40-300
I am way above the top one and still above the bottom one...see what I'm saying?
That number is fine for a 4 week pregnancy!
