Help with yeast infection

So I got a yeast infection after getting a uti and taking antibiotics. It was burning and incredibly itchy so I took miconazole 1? I wanted to tear out my vagina it was such intense and awful pain and burning. But then the next day or so the itching was still there and I don't think it worked so I got vagistat 3 instead. Should I finish vagistat 3? Is this taking too much medication?? Or should I stop when my symptoms are gone? So far I've only taken 1 day of vagistat.
