I take hot baths and prop my cheeks apart so the hot water hit's them. Sounds crude, but I don't know of another way to put it. they also make tucks. it's a wipe u use after u use the bathroom. they help. or preperation H. I'm right there with ya , don't strain when u go #2 it will make them worse. instead use a stool softner. when u get constipated. They are a real pain in the rear!

Thanks, How do you get them?  I dont think I usually strain or anything.

I have them too.  Sometimes they flare up and last time they actually were coming out (sorry if TMI).  They are cause by straining, I believe they are blood vessels that get inflammed.  Sometimes if you have irregular bowels and if they are too hard it can cause the inflammation.  Not comfortable at all, itchy, painful.  Let me tell you that I was not wearing a thong for at least 2 1/2 weeks.  I used preparation H to reduce swelling and also took some hot baths or you can put a warm compress on it.  They suck but nothing to worry about.

The warm water is defintiely a good idea - along with the Prep H -- also try to use soft TP & don't eat any "sharp" food... They should go away in a little while, if they don't, you can visit your DR for a stronger steroid cream or something along those lines to help...

I had a pretty severe hemmoroid and still do and it has been eight months since I was pregnant with my son! It is very uncomfortable. Are you pregnant? If so, your baby is just putting extra pressure on your anis and that is what causes your "himmie" (that is what my husband and I call it lol). It always helped me to take a warm bath with a cup of epsom salt. Make sure you soak pretty good! After you are finished bathing get some TUCKS pads and squirt some Preparation H on it and place it on your anis. It will soothe you! When you sit down make sure you put a towel under your butt because the TUCKS pads are quite moist and will leak through. WHATEVER YOU DO!! Do not try to pop it! I did that not knowing what it was and I couldnt get it to stop bleeding! IT ISNT A PIMPLE :)! I am sure you know that!! Sorry this was soo "out there", but maybe it will give you some ease.
