How long did it take you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal?
Has anyone had the Mirena IUD and had it removed to ttc. I am just curious how long it took you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal? How long until your menstrual cylces were regular? I got my IUD out on Aug 5th and am ttc. I have had lots of spotting and maybe a period but nothing regular. I called my doc and they said that it takes 3 months before the hormones are out of your system. The mirena website makes it sound as though you can get pregnant anytime after removal. Any advice/stories would be appreciated. Thanks.
Could be a chemical pregnancy... if the hcg is declining and was negative today, it may have just been chemical and you may start your cycle any day now. The best thing to do would be call your doc and get a blood hcg test.

born on 11/03/12.... so heres my question.... i was having bleeding non stop until 01/07/13 then it started back up again on 01/09/13 it stoped about 9 days later and ive had nothing since... i wasnt sure when to expect my cycle back but its been 34 days since the first day of my last "cycle" i took 4 tests that came out positive and one that was negative this morning... does anyone have any ideas ? do you think that was just a fluke negative ?

YAY!! SO SO happy to hear the scan went well!!!!!! WOW I hope that doc is right, I was sure hoping you would have a little boy!

Nuchal scan went great. 1.6mm behind the neck, so less than 2, which is good so shouldn't have downs. Doc came in and checked the baby and said it looks great. I asked if he could get a profile shot so I can see the nub to guess at the nub theory. He showed me and asked what was it. I said I'm not sure, what's his best guess. I said I realize its probably 50/50 but would he take a guess. He said I don't have to guess, do you want to know the gender? I said yes please! He said don't go maxing out your visa until after the 20 week scan, but I'm 98% positive this is a little boy!
I'm hopeful! This doc is a leading peri neonatologist and should know what he is talking about. So, hoping he is right, but it's okay if he isn't.
