Well, my man thinks that maybe it's the hormones from the iud, since it's a faint line..  chemical pregnancy..is that what he means?  anyways, my friend says "nope, he is WRONG".  What does he know anyways?! lol

Hormones from the IUD don't include HCG, and that doesn't even make sense, your man is wrong. You are definately prego. Any symptoms?

Hi there.  I have been lurking for the past few days.  Reading your posts and seeing how fast, after mirenas been removed, people have been getting prego.  I had mine removed Aug.12 (had it for about a year) and two days later got AF for about 3 to 4 days.  We used condoms until the 28th.  Today I took a test and it was BFP.  This last friday I spot a little brownish on one panty liner so I had a feeling it was implantation bleeding.  Which I expected my AF on Saturday and no show.  I've had sore breasts and tired for the past few days.  I'm a little shocked that I fell so quick and a little worried and excited. :)

I think I am going to take a test. I am due for AF today but I may wait a little longer. I can't remember just right but when I was pregnant with my son I think I had a period, that was light and short about two weeks before I got a positive. And this morning I am feeling different. Yesterday I was so hungry that I was getting sick to my stomach so I had to eat something and the same this AM. I think I may take one in the morning and if it is negative then just wait till next months AF is due. We shall see! Wish me luck! You are prego, that's what happened to me.  On the day of my AF I tested and it came back neg. kept having lots of cramping like AF was about to start but nothing would happened.  I tested neg for about 7 days and on the 8th I got a very very faint positive when to dr. 3 days after the faint positive and got another positive but was scared it was a chemical pregnancy because when dr. did vaginal ultrasound he couldn't see anything.  I was sent for blood work and it came back that indeed I was prego and that it wasn't a chemical pregnancy!  So relax and be happy:)

P.S.  Yesterday I saw the baby's heartbeat!!!

I think you are prego too.... because on the day before I got a faint positive I got a very very faint neg. you could barely see it.  I thought I wasn't prego. but the next day when AF didn't show and I tested again and got a very faint positive line.

So hang in there I know the hardest part is the waiting you have to do.  but try not to stress:)

I took another test this morning, NEG! AF is a whole week late now. I have a massive headache (I think due to my frustration). Don't want to be too overly fraphic but I've been having a load of creamy cm and I know when AF is coming thats not the case. Hmmmm? What if I just happened to skip a period this month or something. I;m sooooo confused!

Ok so I posted a little over a week ago.  I had my IUD removed on 8/28. We are really ready to add baby #2 to our family and I have been freaking out after reading all of the horror stories thinking I might not be able to after Mirena.  I am now about 2 and 1/2 weeks post removal and finally got AF on Sunday.  Very light though but really think that is what it is.  I had some heavy bleeding for about 6 hours right after removal and that was a couple of weeks ago so I am sure this has to be it.  It has calmed me down a bit but still can't stop thinking about it!  Now that I finally got AF I can start charting temps and actually have some sort of time line I think.  I just want to know where I am and how things are going . . . . just so NERVOUS!!!

SO....!!!!!   I bought 3 hpg this morning: Clearblue Digital 2 Pack and 1 Equate brand.  I used the FMU and took the digital one first and............................PREGNANT!  So, I decided to do all 3 and all of them were positive!  

I immediately texted m man, and he's really happy!  I called the hosptial and asked to come in for a blood test and got the okay to come in anytime.  I had blood drawn at 10am this morning and was told to call back around 430 pm today for the results.  I ended up calling at 245 pm bc I'm sooo anxious...but I left a message with the nurse, and if she doesn't call me by 430, I'm going to call again!   YAY!

I'm feeling bloated..yawning a lot..feeling tired and lazy...thirsty and my tummy feels blah, lol.  So, it took me 7 wks post iud to get pregnant.

I had been charting the days that my man and I made love, and since I first took a hpg on September 1st,  and it was negative...I'm assuming that I conceived on Sept 4th or the 7th.  We also had sex the 12th, but I believe that 2 days is too early to become pregnant and test positive.  So what do you guys think?  Did I conceive on the 4th or the 7th?  OMG!

Congrats. However I think you prob got preggo a little earlier than the 7-12 since it takes about 6-12 days for implantation to take place and for the hcg levels to rise enough to get a positive on a hpt. You prob conceived on the 4th, but anyhow, the important thing is that you are pregnant!!!!!! Yippee

has anyone had a lot of spotting after removal? i have had mine out for over a month now and i start spotting every few days and all the time after sex. everytime i think it might be AF but it never is. i dont think i have had a normal period since removal :( i really wanna get pregnant soon. any advice or thoughts?

Blood test is indeed positive :)  I'm apprx 4 weeks along!  My first appt is October 14th :}  I can't wait!  So I went to this webiste that has a pregnancy due date calculator, and it calculates my due date as May 27, 2010.    Yeah the date of conception is not of importance to me anymore! lol.

hey i have felt the same. i have been so tired lately and sooooo grumpy lol! im sure im driving my husband up the wall lol. i dont know whether its pms or its hormonal changes due to be being pregnant. i have had some spotting but not a real period. i dont think you can ovulate without having a period but i have heard of girls getting prego right after removal. i dont know what to think. im so confused and hate not knowing what is happening with my own body. i have taken 2 tests and both BPN :(

how long ago did you have your IUD removed?  I have taken 3-4 tests, but all BFN.  I feel like **** though.  I had bleeding 2 days after removal and brown discharge 2 weeks later (lasted 3-4 days).  my husband says to call the doctor, but i don't want to sound "stupid."

i have had it out since aug 16th so 4 weeks. i have felt so "blah" for a lack of a better work. just really crappy and tired. i had the regular bleeding after removal for 2 days too and then nothing for about 2 weeks and within the last week i have had spotting. practically nothing. just enough to show on my undies a bit and when i wipe. i wonder if going on the pill for a month would jump start our cycles. i would really hate to do that though and have to wait another month that i could possibly get pregnant. maybe im just obsessing lol

Thank you so much!  I guess I'd be 4 weeks and 4 days haha.. I used one of those calculators and said I concieved Aug. 29th and my Due date would be May 22.  Which was my due date with my son. Haha.  He ended up coming early on the 7th though.  So he will just be turning two.  I did not expect it to happen that fast but I am so glad!  I fell about 2 and 1/2 weeks after IUD removal.  

Everyday I check to see if you've gotten a BFP... I really hope it comes soon for you!!  It's odd that you haven't gotten AF yet though.  Maybe babies just being sneaky and doesn't want everyone to know yet?? :)  Do you have other children?

GOod Morning i've been reading all of the post for a few weeks now, and hope that God blesses everyone with the joy of a baby soon. I pray that my story will keep your faith in knowing that all things are possible through Jesus Christ.

I got my Merina removed on August 13th (thursday) after 3 yrs. with the Iud my periods never stopped and they stayed on cycle. They were much lighter and sometimes only lasted one day, but they always came.

The same night i had it removed my period came, right on scedule. It was heavier than it had been while the merina was in. My husband and i felt good that the machinery still worked.  As we were nervious it would take time especially after reading some of the stories posted. As soon as it was over my husband and i went into baby making mode, EVERYDAY, LOL.

And then it was the waiting game and when it was a no show on September 13th we where excited about taking a home pregnancy test. But i decided to wait.  I told him let the HCG or HGC hormone kick in.  And then yeasturday i told him to pick one up as i could no longer wait. and then the test suggest you to take it in the morning. So more waiting, but in the morning, first fruits my test showed a double line, And I'm Pregnant.  

I give my lord and savior all the Glory and the honor, i also give honor to my husband i could have done this with out him. LOL


I pray that everyone here receive their blessing and that God bless them in an over flow of blessing,i pray that you will not room enough to receive. i pray that he cover your wombs with his precious blood and feel it with the little ones you desire.

I got my IUD removed 9/8 then started a light AF two days later it has been light for 6 days now. Does anyone know if this is actually AF?? I had no bleeding right after removal...

I just thought I'd keep the good stories going..... I posted once a couple of weeks back, but I have been following the thread now for almost 2 months. I had my Mirena removed on July 21st. Spotted for 2-3 days and had my first AF on Aug. 25th for 4 days. I never had a period with the IUD for the 3 years prior. But as soon as AF packed her bags and left, my husband and I got to work. I had no idea when I would ovulate but I read in the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility, that a woman's cycle is often shorter after coming off of hormones. Well, as luck would have it, we timed things right. Today we got the BFP!
And I highly recommend the Clear Blue Easy Digital test because the first generic one I took was barely perceptible as positive. In fact, no one but me would have thought to take a second test at all, but I was not convinced. Soooooo, there you have it, 7 weeks post removal and another happy ending. I just wanted to share because these stories have helped me over the course of this journey. Now it is on to the next journey. Congratulations to everyone that has already got their BFP and Good luck to everyone out there ttc. Sticky sweet baby dust and many blessings for all. And BTW if you don't have the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, pick up a copy.

I've been eating weird food...last night i had tuna fish and a can of olives.  don't ask!  my bf has noticed it too, and teases me a lot.

I didn't get any warning about waiting to TTC from my doctor following iud removal.  the bd and i went right back to our normal pace, so........if that's what ur doc says, well then wait until they give you the go ahead to start TTC.

Hi well the last time I tested was yesterderday and BFN:{ Haven't tested today. Still no period. I'm frustrated!!!!! I'm going to call tomorrow to c what the results of the blood test are, although I can already anticipate a NEG! I just don't feel pregnant at all. I had my mirena removed Aug. 25... two days later I started my AF (i think that is what you call it :-)) I stayed on for 12 days.

once I went off we started... we have tried the 9th, 11th, 14th, and 16th (September). I am hoping to be able to take a test by the end of the month.

I love hearing the stories of you all who have conceived so quickly. I am trying to get preggo soon so that my due date will be in the warmer months.

I have a 4yr old daughter and I am soooooooo ready for another baby!!

Well ladies, this was my first cycle TTC, and it failed:{ The dr called back with my blood test results: neg. My period is over a week late and I'm frustrated! I'll be happy to get it this time. My last period was Aug 10. I know I ovulated on 8-24 cuz I was using opk.

Actually I was pregnant about a month and a half ago and I was told by the ultrasound that I got pregnant the night my iud was removed. That is why I ended up with the ectopic because I was still getting the hormones from the iud.

I am new and have read almost the last 100 comments. I had my IUD removed on Aug. 8 and had some spotting for a couple days then had heavy bleeding for about 1 week. I am 3 days late for AF. The last few weeks I have had major cramping really low in my abdomen. I have had some moments that I felt a little nausea, had off and on diarreah(sorry if TMI) and am really tired. My husband and I aren't trying for our second yet, but aren't trying to prevent it either. I have taken 2 tests, but both came back negative. Will my Dr's office give me a blood test just because I want it?
How much longer should I wait to retest?
P.S. Just for all of you ladies that are spending a lot of $ on tests, try the ones at a dollar store. It worked for me on my first pregnancy and was tons less $.

I am currently trying to conceive. I just had my first af since everything last week so hopefully it will happen again really quickly. Since I had to have one of my tubes removed I am hoping that will not affect my chances of conceiving this time. Good luck to you in trying to conceive.

If anyone would like to know.. I've had some nausea for the last few days or so off and on- took a test this morning on my 9th week post removal and NOTHING!! I have had lower back pains, including a heating pad-warm sensation and the nausea keeps lingering in at out.


IDK what the heck my body is doing, but what ever we're still TTC.

So I haven't posted in a few weeks, but I am back with an update and still looking for advice. I had my parauard (copper with no hormones) IUD out on Aug 6, had AF on July 25. Had it again on August 23. AF is due on September 21, but I spotted (sometimes a bit heavy) from the 16th to the 18th. I just am not sure that it was my period, it never fails that my period for a solid 5 days and always right on schedule. This is month number 2 for trying and I was very careful only to DO IT every other day beginning the day after AF ended. I have read a few stories where women have break through bleeding and then within a couple days get a BFP. According to some online sites a pregnancy test should work tomorrow. I was planning to take it tomorrow because I would love to give my man a positive test on his birthday which is Monday. We are trying for baby number 2 since our daughter is 6 and OH boy are we ready!!!

OMG!!!  Were both 4 weeks prego...and our appointment is on the same day.  OCT 14th.  LOL.

Yes, I also used the dollar store hpg.  I bought it for $1 at the Dollar Tree!!!  lol.  6 years ago, I used one to confirm my first pregnancy, and it was positive.  Also, I used one to confirm my current pregnancy, which gave me a prominent line and a faint line :)  Also, reliable again.  The only reason I bought Clearblue Digitals and an Equate was because I wanted to see if there was any difference.  (Which there wasn't. All came out positive, but the Equate brand @ Walmart also came back a bit faint, but it was still positive).  

I do like and also recommend the Clearblue Digital.  It says Pregnant and Not Pregnant, and  I got a 2 pack at Walmart for like 8 bucks.  Not bad!  :)

Hello!  I'm getting my Mirena out on Monday and then I will be officially TTC!  Actually though, the doctor did tell me to wait for one cycle to make sure my uterine lining is built back up, so we're looking at hoping to get pregnant in November.  That would actually be awesome because then I would deliver right around this time of year and I am on Track Break (I'm a teacher).  So I could extend my maternity leave!  

Congrats to all the BFP!  Seven weeks would be a perfect time for me to concieve so let's keep that trend going for me!  :)

Finally got a positive ovulation test this morning!! Hope to get a new BFP in a couple weeks. The suspense of waiting to test is terrible. Will let you guys know what happens.

We're still ttc 3-4x a week if we can help it since there is no signs of ovulation.. just nausea. lol I am going to see how long this lasts and hopefully test again. We're praying for BFP, infact my hubby is more bummed than I was. 9 weeks and nothing! Not even AF.

For my first time being pregnant and home testing I got a positive line with in 5 seconds, before the control line and it was Walgreens brand. So far I have found equate brand 3 for $10 at walmart.

My back is so sore and the sickness gut feeling in my tummy is just over whelming. pray for us and baby dust to all!!

Well...I am up late with a sick child...so no BD this weekend. I hope I don't get sick...I am waiting for a + OPK soon....sooooo who knows. I am so happy for all the BFPs this month. It is very encouraging to all of us....to know that it will really happen in the right time.

I TOOK A FIRST RESPONSE FERTILITY TEST IT CAME BACK NORML . I THINK IM BACK ON TRACK WITH AF AND OVULATION. AF STOP TO DAY AND IN ABOUT 20 DAYS I WILL OVULAT AND MAYBE AF WANT COME NEXT MONTH  I HOPE IT DONT.

I took a FIRST RESPONSE FERTILITY TEST  too . And my FHS leavels where good . And I did get BFP on okp test for last month. So Im hoping everything is back to the way it should be. It has been 3 months Im working on 4 months now.

Im hoping it happens this month.

how can u say ur not in the clear?  You're fine!  You're pregnant.  Acne is normal.  I'm breaking out, too...ugh.  And my skin is naturally oily anyways...  Stop worrying!  You're completely normal!  Check out some sites such as babygaga.com or babycenter.com and read up about your pregnancy.  It will explain much more there.  :)  Relax and Eat!  :)  Were entitled to it!
