And today I had a doc appt. and saw the heart beat and was told Im 8 weeks and due May 12. I AM SO HAPPY

I had my iud removed july 27th..I had AF on August 19-23.  I did not get AF in Sept., but I wasnt due until the end of Sept. but i tested for the hell of it on september 13th and got a faint positive....then tested on spetember 14th with first morning urine (using 4 more pregnancy tests-2 clearblue digitals and 1 Equate walmart brand) ALL positive.  So it took me about a month and a half to get pregnant after iud removal.  approx 7 weeks?

go to the Dollar Tree dollar store if u have one.  buy a dollar test if u dont want to wait the 3 wks!!!!.  they seriously work :)  or go to any dollar store and buy one.  they're really cheap.  I got AF on august 19-23...and i wasn't due for AF until late september (around the 28th)..but I tested on the 13th and 14th.  Hope that helps?

Hey guys! TTC again after my loss a few months ago. I am currently 11 DPO. Have taken two tests already and both have been bfn. I am not due for AF until Oct 6th. Is it possible I tested too early? Also, congratulations to all those who have recently gotten there long awaited bfp. I hope I am going to be joining yall shortly. My biggest question is did you have symptoms before you took your tests? I remember a few months ago having the sore boobs but I cant remember if it started before or after I got my bfp. I am getting a little worried because the only symptoms I have are lower back pain, cramping, and being tired all the time. Is that normal or does that sound like AF is on her way again this month. Not sure when to except my next AF?. ok last AF started 4 days early(Sept 12)- but was just spotty for 4 day then had real heavy bleeding(Sept 16).  just tested ovulation test + for wed and thurs. I am not sure how other people and doctors are but in mississippi our health departments and my doctors office use the dollar tests. From what the website for first response says it can pick up on 25 miu of hcg the same that the dollar tests can. I know other people do not like the test but it did work for me my last pregnancy about five days early.

Weird Symptom:
I'm sure a lot of you can related to feeling like everything your body does is a symptom of pregnancy? Or, I'm just the crazy one?

The past two days I have some strange 'pulling' feelings in my lower Abs or ligaments. I'm trying to decide if it's a real symptom or a result of laughing too much. Only time will tell.
I just thought I might share a little bit of my baby crazy with you all.

So I got my IUD removed 9/8. I had it in for a year with NO AF. We did the deed on 9/27 and 9/30. Yesterday 10/4 I had sharp period like cramps in my lower right side that lasted about 30 min. I felt a little dizzy too. Then it went completely away no cramping since. My breast have been sore for a few days too. AF is due on Friday. I am not sure if this is implatation or related to AF (since its been forever since ive had it.)

Has anyone experienced this? I am scared to test since AF isnt due yet and what if I am pregnant...Is it too early since I just got my IUD remover a month ago...

So i had my IUD removed on August 5th. I got my period on September 4th, but it was only heavy for like 3 days and then was gone. Did the deed on the dates (which were supposively the 18-23) sometimes twice a day. My period was due yesterday (October 4th) if i was to go by a 30 day cycle. I tested yesterday and the day before and got bfn. when i had my son, i was nearly 16 days late before i got a positive. I had taken one at 7 days late and at 10 days late and got nothing. but finally at 16 days late i got something. This time around, im not sure if its going to be the same. my breast arent really sore, my nipples are a little sensitive but my breast dont hurt like i remember last time. any suggestions?.....

If you had no cycle on the mirena, how do you know when AF is due?  I am just curious because I hadn't had a cycle the whole time I had the mirena and I got pregnant within 6 weeks of having it removed.  I have no clue when I am due, because I haven't had a cycle.  I go to the doctor in 2 weeks to find out.

I did not bleed until 2 days after removal and that lasted about 6 days. I am guessing that was AF. Not really sure though, I am just using that date. Did you get AF after removal? How far along are you now?

Was just wondering does anyone know what a faint negative on an early response pregnancy test means?? Im not due af for another 7 days but i thought id try it just to see....i done one on sat and it was a big fat pink line to say negative done another one today and the line was thin and very light pink!!! i don't know how far along i am.  i had my iud removed August 20 and got a BFP on Oct 1.  I had discharge 2 days after my iud removal and they call that postremoval bleeding.  I got brown discharge 2 weeks after my removal and it lasted for 5 days or so.  I had my mirena in for almost 3 years and had a baby right before that.  I did not get have AF since Jan. 2006.  I would go ahead and start using ovulation tests to find out if you are even ovulating yet.

When you get a faint negative, that means you may have tested wrong.  I don't think it matters if it is faint or not.  If the test was a faint positive, that means you are surely pregnant.  Keep us posted.

I had my Mirena in for 6 months and took it out and on May 4th.  Before I put it in my menstrual would last 7 days and come every 28 days like clock work.  Since taking it out, it still comes every 28 days but now it only lasts 3 days.  I have been trying for 6 months now to get pregnant.  I'm using the basal temps, cervical mucus & OPK to try and pin point ovulatiopn but still nothing.  I'm starting get discouraged and a little frustrated.  I never had problems getting pregnant before inserting it.  Any ideas or hints to help the process along??

Don't get discouraged. Remember that it is not our choosing when we get pregnant, it is Gods. He will bless you on his time when he knows you are ready. Remember this is already planned out for you. I started getting discouraged but just prayed about it and this morning, the day of my expected period (28th day) I got a faint positive. I am excited but not to excited because it was visible but fainter that the leaflet said it should be. I am going to test next week if I don't start to see if it has gotten darker before calling my doctor just in case. It was as faint as is says someone testing four days before missed period.

I am not really having any symptoms. My only one is that I am tired and sleeping better, except for this morning I kept dreaming I got a positive until I woke up and couldn't take it anymore and tested and it was faint but enough to be noticed. I haven't been tracking my temp or doing the OPK's. I have just been keeping track of my periods, so I would know when I was late. So YAY!!!! Good Luck to everyone. I had my IUD removed June 5th and had some bleeding for a couple of days. Took a ovulation test two weeks later and it was positive. Husband and I went for about 3 times (only because he felt pressure lol). About 2.5 or 3 weeks later I got my BFP on July 4th. Im currently 17w4d.

I am a 30 year old wife and mother of 2 boys. I have had Mirena since August 2007 due to have it removed/changed 2011. My hubby, family, & friends are all pushing for another baby.

I felt the same way! I went thru a stage where I wanted a baby so bad. But then I was ready to wait again. But then my husband was wanting a baby bad so I agreed. I do still want one, and this morning when I got my faint positive I was so excited! But we didn't want our children to be far apart in age. Our original plan was to wait for my son to turn 4 so the next one would come when he was starting school but then I thought. what will a 7 year old and a 2 year old have in common? So I thought now was a good time. If my positive stays positive, this one will be due on June 4th. My sons birthday is June 2nd! Isn't that cute?!?! He just turned two so he will be 3!

It depends on your body.  I got preggo within weeks, but some of these ladies have been off mirena for months with no luck.  I think starting now and getting your body regulated would be the first step.  If it happens before then, I guess it would be a blessing.

if i knew it was going to take this long to get prego i would have taken iud out a few months before i wanted to ttc, it has been 17 weeks now and no baby. i did get a possivet on okp test yestday so maybe this will be the month, some girls have been trying for 7 months maybe longer.  For some of the girls i think it took them months to get AF. So its all on ur body.u could get it out and try not to have sex around the time u are ovulation or use condums. the dr told me it could take 3 months to 6 months for my body to fix it self. good luck

HooooooooHummmmmmmmm...I am disappointed with this cycle. I am on CD 30 and still no + OPK. I don't know what is wrong. Anyway, I am going to try and not worry about it because that can delay things worse. I have been sick for about 7 - 10 days this cycle so maybe that is why I am having the long delay.

i had my mirena iud removed on tuesday, 10/6/09 after 4 years.  i have had a constant headache ever since!  Today I have had a headache, am dizzy and nauseated.  Does anyone think this is from the removal of the IUD?  We are trying to have another baby, my daugther will be turning 6 on Thanksgiving Day!  My physician advised me to wait untill i've had two cycles before ttc, to allow the lining of my uterus to re-build and help prevent having a miscarrage (miscarriage).  Any advice is greatly appreceiated!

Has anyone tried the Clear Blue Digital Test? and did it work? I tested again this morning and it was still faint. I am not really having any symptoms. So I thought if I got a digital I would know for a fact. But now that I have read about them online people are saying that the got false positives, but that was years ago when you had to put the strip into the holder. Now its just like all the others. I got it at a good price $9 @ walmart, but now I am wondering if I should take them back? Help please! I am going to Vegas in the morning and really want to know before I go. I love roller coasters and so want to ride one but if I am pregnant, I don't want to mess that up! I was suppose to start Wednesday.

Hi Ladies just thought id give you all a little update i done a clearblue pregnancy test this afternoon and got a very faint positive couldnt believe it had to look again just to make sure i wasnt seeing things but got a 2nd opinion of my sister in law and she said its definetely there....but just incase im gonna do another first thing in the morning as im not fully convinced yet!!! So if i am that would be a BFP 3 weeks post removal i got the mirena out on the 17th of sept but i did have my cycle the whole way thru having it in so i dont know whether that makes a difference. I just wanted to let you's all know as reading your storys have helped me so much over the last couple of weeks.

two weeks latter i started cramping and had all the signs of PMS and it was just brown
spotting for four or five days.on the fourth day i was spotting i too the clear blue easy test and it was negative. now nothing. could i still be prego and just have taken it to soon

A faint line is a line, you may be very early on and that's why you got a faint line. You should take the test you have tomorrow morning with FMU to fully convince yourself, but congrats:}

I am 25 years old and had Mirena for 2 years.  Removal - July 10. First Period - August 3.  Positive Pregnancy Test - October 3, 2009. I am 5 weeks pregnant!  So, I became pregnant within 2 months of removal.  We were not trying to conceive... nature just took over!  I did not have any children before Mirena was inserted.

I highly recommend the Clear Blue Digital! I got a faint pos. with a regular test, went out and got a CBD test and the result was confirmed without any doubt. That was 7 days before I was scheduled to even start AF! Now  I'm 6 weeks along but not enjoying the morning sickness. Take the test with the first morning urine, i bet you get a BFP! Good luck!

Hello all!! I'm new to this site and was amazed at some of the stories I have read about how soon some are getting pregnant after Mirena removal! I had my iud (Mirena) removed on Sept. 17, 09. I didn't have a period the entire time I had the iud, which was almost 3 years. After having it removed, I had a very light "period" every other day for about a week. It didn't even last a day. I was on the pill before the iud and had a cycle every month. My husband and I haven't used any protection since the removal. The last day or two I have felt extremely nauseated in the evening time with some heartburn. Is it wayyyy too early to tell if I'm pregnant? I don't want to buy a pregnancy test yet for fear of it being negative. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I had my mirena taken out on 17th September,after having it in for 5 years and having no periods at all and started bleeding heavily for 10days on the 21st. After 10 days of bleeding I went to GP and he gave me eastrogen tablets to stop the bleeding (6 Oct). I stopped bleeding immediately and was supposed to take them for 10 days but stopped after 5. DH and i had regular sex last week and now I am not too sure if I am pregnant. I have had terrible backache (a sure sign I am getting my AF) but nothing has happened as well as tingling boobs and constant nausea for the last 2 days as well as a funny taste in my mouth.Did a pg test this am and it was BFN, which i was expecting as it is early. Really not sure what is going on with my body as I haven't had periods for 5 years so am not sure where I am at in my cycle or if I am pregnant or not.

well just to inform the one's that want to test but dont want to waste alot of money just go buy a test at dollar tree or dollar store in your area they are only one dollar where i live brand is baby test it detects as little as 20 mIU the clear blue digital does 50mIu so maybe with the dollar test you could test sooner who knows im still waiting for it to test positive for me i will let everyone know how it works out for me i know others on here have tried the dollar test and it works for them

okay so i had my IUD taken out in January and then had a chemical pregnancy in march...lost it and haven't been able to get pregnant since. I have been spotting every month during implantation but then i get my period. I have never had any kids but i cant get the docs to even talk to me about problems until after a year of trying... my hubby is in the AF and deploys a lot (which doesn't help us any with getting prego) and of course they want to push the year date back because of the deployments. Why the hell wont anyone talk to me about it when they dont give the IUD until after you have already had a baby???

Ok so here's my situation! I had my IUD removed September 22nd, and started spotting on the early morning 23rd, it eventually got a medium flow and lasted 4 days then tapered off with spotting on the 5th day!!! I assumed that was AF, but maybe it wasn't... who knows! So I don't really know how to time ovulation and all that stuff so basically my husband and I just started having sex like normal (when we aren't too tired from almost 2 yr. old daughter)! Alright well a few days ago I started having some signs... First sign was gassiness sorry if that TMI, also accompanied by indigestion without eating an greasy foods and the only time I ever had indigestion was when I was pregnant with our daughter. I decided to take a pregnancy test, dollar tree brand and it was so faint I thought I was imagining the line and my husband said he could barely see it!! So today I started feeling nauseous through out the day especially to certain smells. Well the biggest sign I have is and i don't want to gross anyone out but I got a yeast infection and I have never had a yeast infection ever. I didn't use any other kind of soap, detergent, body wash or anything. I am a very clean person and I change my "granny panties" cotton underwear everyday ( I happen to love comfortable cotton "granny panties"), also I am overweight so I choose not to wear "tight" clothing! I also wash after everytime my husband and I have sex! I can't think of any reason I would have a yeast infection! Well I looked it up over the internet and some sites said that many women in early pregnancy develop a yeast infection due to hormonal changes in the vagina. Well I decided to take another pregnancy test. I really didn't want to wait until morning so as hard as it was I decided to hold my pee for 5 almost 6 hours by keeping busy and not thinking about it!!! I could also tell my urine was VERY concentrated and the same thing happened the line was so faint, I didn't believe it was there! My husband was at work so no second opinion! Basically I just wanted to know if anyone thought there was still a chance I could be pregnant, and also if anyone got a yeast infection early in pregnancy? i suggest u may want to wait a couple of days because some web site say that your pregnant hormones may not b high enough also i got my mirena taking out 7 days after you and we have been sexually active at least every other day and i havent noticed a sign yet. i have also begun to take prenantal vitamins like my dr suggested and i m a little over weight and yes i did get a yeast infection when i was pregnant wit my second daughter but not my first but also my didnt happen in the first trimester it happened in the second.

Thank You for the advice! I kind of figured it would be my best bet if I just wait a while and be patient, but that's a lot harder than I expected it to be when I got my iud out. When I got it out I told myself and my husband, I am not going to be impatient (which I usually am and I hate it) and I'm just going to take it slow and have fun and enjoy the baby making process. But it's a lot harder than I expected, everytime I think I get a new symptom or I see a pregnant women I wanna go test! But for now I'm just going to try to be patient!!! Also I'm scared that because I think I may be pregnant my mind is making me believe I have these symptoms... I'm pretty sure they are real but maybe not!!! The only real thing is the yeast infection and I did read that most pregnant women do get them in their second trimester. Well I am hoping in atleast a week or two I will get a positive! I had my iud removed August 25th... I had a positive home test on Sept, 27th... so i guess it only took me one month to conceive. it happened very quickly for me.

I wish the same for all the mom's out there trying... and just a postive hint i looked online for a free ovulation calander and it told me my most fertile day was the 9th and the rest of the week i would be fertile. we were intimate on the 9th and the 11th. and lo and behold pregnant by the time my next AF was due!

also i was told to stay in the bed for a while afterwards don't let your feet hit the floor right after it does something to your body temperature.

i know that feeling its like you are having every symptom from heavy saliva to laziness i was like that before i got pregnant with my 1st child she is a girl and she will b five n dec. also wanted to have a baby so bad b4 i actually found out i was pregnant. and my 2nd daughter i was even thinking about getting preg. but i found out at 3 almost 4 months wen i was pregnant with her my AF doesnt stay down for 5-7 days like most women, it last about 2 days at the most so i never could remember wether it came or not. My 2nd daughter made 2 in july but she passed away on august 11th 2007 she was 27 days old. i got mirena about 2wks after she passed n i keep it for 2yrs and me, my fiance, and pldest daughter is ready for someone new to join our family. N by the i dont mind talking about me or my family do you have anything else you would like to ask me .

Going a little bonkers. Since my cycle is 37 days now (well at least it was last time) I have to wait a few more days to see If implantation occurs. Then wait another week to see AF comes.

Ok so i done hpt on fri and it has faint positive on it and i woke up this morning and i was bleeding lighter than a period only really went i urinate and wipe myself only a slight bit on the pad i used...my period is not due untill the end of the week so this would be 4 days early. Has anyone any idea what this could be? Could it be implantation bleeding or could it be a sign of miscarriage? Anyone with any ideas plz help as im goin out of my mind...im desperately trying to get pregnant and very worried about what this could be. My last pregnancy was a twin pregnancy and I lost one of the babys at 22 wks so as you can imagine im very anxious about this.

I have been watching this discussion for a while.  I want TTC in January.   I want to know when you would suggest getting the Mirena removed.  I have had the Mirena for 2 1/2 years, with mild spotting once a month maybe AF.  I had blood clots so I can't take the pill so the Mirena was my option for birth control.  I don't have any children.  I actually have a doctor's appointment tommorrow but just wanted feedback.

We tried every month since removal.  But after I had my last period on Sept 12 I decided that we shouldn't be so focused on it.  Once I allowed my brian to take a break we got pregnant! Good luck to all that are trying and congrats to the ones who are pregnant! God Bless!

I would get it removed now.  It is a little rare to get preggo right away.  Mirena still has hormones and take a while to get your body regulated.  So you want to be pregnant in Jan? or just start trying?

I would like to get pregnant at the beginning of the year if possible.  I am thinking I should probably ask my doctor about getting it out tommorrow.  Do I need to take use a contraceptive?  or just let my body get regulated and nature take its course? Congrats to everyone with BFP's.

hi all.i had my iud removed on 02/14/09 after having it for 4yrs. so that makes it 8 months we've been ttc.It's starting to worry me now. my O days were 10/04 and 10/05..and just to be certain we had sex for 8 days straight starting 10/01.i don't  know when i should start testing. I had my IUD removed on 7/9/09, after having it a year and half, and we have been TTC every month since, and still nothing. I guess it can take a while for you body to get back to normal? I used to have 30 day cycles and since I had it removed, my cycles have been 37 days on the dot every month.

Sorry it took so long for me to write on here. I have been in Las Vegas and having a great time! But, before I left, I took the Clear Blue Digital and it said "PREGNANT"!!!! So, I got my big fat positive. I redid my calculations and the due date is June 17th!!!! That is 4 days before my sons original due date, he came 3 weeks early!

Had mirena removed on June 4th, I had it in for 2 years,  and I got my BFP on October 8th!!!!

I haven't posted for awhile but I thought I'd give an update. My mirena fell out about 6 weeks ago and my body is still trying to regulate itself. I've been bleeding about every 10 days for about 2-3 days. It's very frustrating. I also found out that I have cysts on my ovaries which can be caused by Mirena. I wish they had told me about this earlier because it can make it very difficult to get pregnant. Just thought I'd send out a warning to everyone. I like the idea of Mirena but it isn't worth it if it can cause permanent infertility!

Yes that is exactly what happened to me! I had my mirena removed Aug 28th.  I had heavy bleeding that night and that was it.  Then two weeks later I had PMS symptoms and only brownish red blood very very light for about 3 - 4 days and then nothing.  I believe it actually was my first period.  4 weeks later (this weekend) I started my first "REAL" AF.  I think the lining just hadn't built up enough to have a full blown period.

Haven't posted in a while, but wanted to update you all.  I just found out today that I'm pregnant!  I look back, and I was feeling really discouraged--like it was never going to happen.  And it only took a few months (my IUD was removed 6-24).  I think I'm only a couple weeks pregnant (like two).  I've been lightly cramping almost non stop, and I've already had a miscarriage, so I'm just crossing my fingers!  Pray for me!  Good luck, girls!  It WILL happen when it's supposed to happen.

Hi everyone.

I just got my IUD taking out on 10/12. I had it for two yrs and no spotting or bleeding the entire time. Before the IUD, I was very irregular and I didn't get prego until they put on BC, go figure! So, now we are wanting to try again, just not sure what to except. I was told by the DR that it could take 2-3 months to get prego, I'm hoping sooner. after sex stay laying down on ur back for 60 min before moving . when he comes u should be on ur back it help the sprem swim up. go on to babycenter.com and find out what days u will be ovulation. good luck.

Well actually i tried the ovulation and pregnancy test from the dollar store. I stopped buying the ovulation test cuz they were discouraging me all them were saying negative. so i decided to let nature take its course in a way but i m planning on continuing using their pregnancy test. Now the answer to your question is yes they work i have always used them with my other pregnancies from dollar tree, dollar general, & etc. well good luck and make sure u post your results.

Stopped Depo shot in December 05, conceived Feb 06, on first try. I didnt use an ovulation test, I just counted 14 days before my cycle was due and gave it a try. It worked! My son is now almost 3 and I have the Mirena. I am getting it removed in the morning and I am hoping to conceive before the end of the year. I would think that the depo shot is a little more invasive, so I should be able to conceive just as fast or faster.  I havent had a AF the 3 years that I have been on Mirena. Is it truly possible for my body to get back in order and to conceive that quickly? Also, I am scared to death to have it removed. Should I expect heavy bleeding, an AF immediately or what????

Took me the better part of 6 months to conceive after having mine removed then I lost the pregnancy at 16 weeks. No hard proof but I'm blaming it on Mirena... after having several previous healthy babies/pregnancies and not one reproductive problem....seems to fit the bill to me.

Hello to all  who are ttc, and congratulations to all the BFP! I am new to the "postings" although I've been reading the forums from everyone for the past two months or so. (It gives me encouragement!) My husband and I are currently ttc our 2nd child. I just recently had my mirena removed on 9/30/09 after having it in for about 10 months..now I am currently waiting on my 1st AF. I had my AF the entire time I had the mirena so I'm praying I won't have a delay, as I've been on track on the 15th of every month!!!!(Although for some odd reason, I also had bleeding on 9/27) But I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who post; it helps out a lot!!!!!! Well ladies, I had my Mirena removed today. I didnt have a cycle the entire time I was on Mirena, from 2-07 til now. Before then, I had regular 28 day cycles, that only lasted 3 days. How soon does the regular cycles start back after removing Mirana if your cycles were pretty regular in the beginning?

I have had my Mirena in since June 2008.  I have had my period every month like clockwork and it would last at least 5-7 days.  As anyone else experienced this because it seems like most have stopped their periods all together.  If so, did it take you long to conceive after removal?

i just had mines removed 09-29-09 and my af usually comes on the around the 14 i had mines the whole time while i was on mirena and it came on time this month, so for me its like everything is working out just fine so far hopefully we conceive this month.Yes you can get pregnant asap if ovulating and your body is ready, but everybody is different because some of us do and some of us don't.

No Luck this month. I had a 31 day cycle this time (28, 37 and now 31?). My AF came on Tuesday.
I'm a little sad that my cycle has been out of whack because it makes it hard to figure out ovulation.

Its been a while, I am just over 13 weeks post removal (or 3months). I have had nothing but neg. tests and no AF. Yesterday though I starting spotting a light brown mucus. Mind you I have PCOS and haven't had AF since May of 2006, just before my son was conceived. The brownish discharge has continued today, infact it is heavier almost like AF just the wrong color.

Any ideas? I have read alot about the uterine lining removing- could it be that? or is this a sign that AF is coming and as my DH says we should "scrog like bunnies". Dont ask me where he gets that- LOL.

Please reply. In all the years I have ever had AF, it has never been like this.

I had really bad cramps the 16th and 17th of Oct. and some low back pain, but still no AF. I want to wait another couple of days to see if AF shows up, but husband wants me to get a hpt and see. Hi ladies my story begins 1 year ago in this site.I had my mirena in for 2 1/2 years with no periods at all.After i removed my mirena i had no bleeding at all and fell pregnant within 2-3 weeks. I was so excited and surprised it was so quick.I will only fill you in on the important issues otherwise i could be here all day.I had a terrible pregnancy from the very beginning and expected to miscarry for the first 3 months due to abdominal pain.I experienced high blood pressure from 29 weeks. After approx 32-33 weeks my daily kicks and movement deminished dramatically. I had many many check ups but was always sent home to rest. At 37 weeks whilst on a moniter we lost my sons heartbeat and was rushed for an emergency c section. My son was born 1.430kg or 3.1 pound with the cord around his neck also.We then spent the next 6 weeks in the NICU and had an operation for (NEC) rotting of the bowels due to lack of oxygen in the womb.He has a few other problems also.  This is all a result of poor attachment due to having no lining build up which is DIRECT result of the mirena. My son is now 3 months and at home but having troubles daily.So my advice ladies is PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE wait until your periods return to thicken up your lining.It really is only 2-3  months and is it really worth the risk? Hi! I just wanted to offer my opinion on your cycles.  You only ovulate on day 14 if your cycle is always 28 day apart.  I see your body is regulating like mine did. I had my mirena removed on May 20th.  had bleeding for 2 days then..

June 13th-period 7 days
July 16 (day 34) started my period.
Aug 14th(day 30) started.  Was the brown old blood but called the dr and they told to me count that as day one.  Not when the blood went to red.  So remember that. If I wouldn't counted the "brown blood" days i would have thought my cycle was 36 days apart.  
Sept 12 (day 30) started my period

Oct 12th no period!! Took pregnancy test BFP!!  some times you have to average out your cycle length. once you get that down if will be easier to pin point.  I would think you are ovualting on day 16 or so.  Hopefully this helps.  Good Luck!!

Well it is just under 5 weeks since I had my Mirena removed and apart from the days of heavy bleeding virtually straight afterwards I haven't had anything more. I still have all the symptoms of being pregnant  (2 weeks of constant nausea, sore breasts, funny taste in my mouth & lower backache) but have done 4 HPT and all of them were BFN. I visited my Dr last week and he said that I shouldn't have any side effects from Mirena removal (as it is such a small hormone dose) and gave me some anti nausea tablets. Would really like to TTC#3 but now want my AF to return or to get a BFP.
Anyone had similar symptoms ?

Well guess what... AF is here!!! All day today I felt like I was back in middle school the very first time I got AF. Excited, yet a nightmare, yet WOW- my body is having a cycle with out having to workout and loose TONs of weight.

3 Months post removal was Saturday, so now I hope to ovulate in a week or so and maybe be pregnant for the holidays!!

I've had the same thing.. I just finally the first time got AF. I am stoked and hope since she came on her own, we can get pregnant on our own. It ***** at the thought we might have missed possibly an ovulation. But with PCOS I dont always drop an egg. Beside even a normal healthy couple with out fertility issues have a 20% window each month on a normal ovulation schedule.

I keep getting this advice:
RELAX and focus on something else.
If all you want is a baby you may not get a baby.
If god wants you to have a baby, you will get one when the time is right.
In the mean time just have fun every 3 days to ensure you dont miss your window. Sperm live aprox 3-5days, so every 3 gives you a chance to keep one lucky lil guy or gal in there to make a baby.

i think this month im not going to watch all the baby shows and read everything i can about ovulation and baby online, or okp test or ovulation calendar. im just going to make love a few times a week. we are trying to hard and thats y we can have a baby... wish me luck.... im making my family crazzy over having a baby and my boyfriend is making both of us crazzy. he told me he starting to feel like a baby maker and like the love is not there but it is when he gets home we are both so ready for bed that we are just doing it to make a baby so im going to get up in the morning and do it before work then make food for both of us and maybe trying some new thinks in the bedroom. i feel the same way we are doing it on the right days and nothing it make us both cry when af come so this month just love making when we feel it and see what happens. i think af is stopping today so maybe the fun will start lol!!!!  i will come on here a few time just to check in with everyone i wish all of u good luck

You know what.....it happened for us when we stopped consentrating on it.  When I got my AF on Sept 12 I told my hubby "you know what I don't even want to pay attention to by body this month".  I just thought it would happen when it should happen.  I didn't pay attention so much that I honestly don't remember when we "did it" for me to be preggo! LOL! But some how we did! Just relax and take it easy and don't lose the fun of being in love and being together!  That's what matters most! I wish you the best of luck! Hi.  I'm new to this site and am glad to see that so many other women are wondering the same things I am.  I had my mirena removed Aug 6th after having it for about a year and a half.  I got AF the next day, and it lasted about a week.  Got AF again on Sept 7th (about a 32 day cycle). So, I should have gotten AF again around Oct 9th.  As of today Oct 21st, I still have not had AF--absolutely nothing.  No spotting or anything.  So that makes me about 2 weeks late.  I've taken lots of tests (every two days) and they're all bfn.  I'm getting frustrated at the not knowing.  I wish AF would just come or I would get a bfp--but this limbo stuff is upsetting me.  How long should I wait to call my doctor for a blood test?

Hi all!! I'm new to the site but I have been reading everyones posts for the last few days now. I just had my Mirena taken out on 10/21/09. I have two other children...a daughter who will be 7 in December and a son who will be 5 in February. We would like to get a BFP asap...as we would like the baby to be born in either July or August. I have never had a regular af in my life...and during my use of Mirena (had it put in spring of 2005 - so 4 years) I have had only light af that lasted maybe 2 days...but usually near the middle of the month. Just started spotting today (2 days later)...so wondering if this is just bleeding from the removal or an actual af...since I didn't have any af at all this month. It's normal pinkish/reddish in color...unlike some who have experience brownish coloration after removal. I guess we will just have to see how long this lasts and what happens from here!

I'm really excited to hear everyone's stories and share mine as well....

I just got my IUD out on the 10/22. I had it for 3 1/2 years. My husband and I are wanting a baby asap!! We have 2 boys and would like a girl but a health baby boy would be great too . Well I had my IUD removed Sept 18Th then red spotting for 2 days after. Oct 3rd- through the 7Th I had brown spotting that came with back cramps front cramps sore boobs and all. The Doctor said she would call this a period being I had all the period symptoms. now nothing. ON a 28 day cycle that would put me at AF due October 30Th.
I go back to the doctor on the 3rd to take a pregnancy test.
We have been doing it every other day so hope it comes up positive on the 30Th

took two tests this morning at 10dpo. The target brand definitely had a line there. It was extremely light but definitely there. I also took a dollar tree test and didn't see anything at all. I am really confused now. I will try to wait a day or two and retest. If I can stand it. I have became an addict with pregnancy tests the last few months. I just hope this isnt false. I cant stand the disappointment since losing my twins in August. Holly

Ive have had my iud for 1 1/2 Im getting it removed on Nov 2nd!! Ive heard that you cant try right away that you should wait 3 months bc you have a high risk of tubal pregnancy? Is this true?

Hey everyone, Im new here and after reading decided to post and maybe see if anyone can help me :-) So I had my Mirena out on 10-7-2009 and had a little bit of red blood come out after 2 days, but its didnt even last for about a few hours. My husband and I have been having sex like every night and not just once like 3 times everytime, but my concern is I havent had AF yet and last week I was cramping on my left side for about 3-5 days I thought AF was on her way, but no. I have been having a constant bad discharge ever since having it out sometimes its kind of yellow but most of the time its clear and not to be too gross but one time it even came out in a little glob (sry nasty I know) The weird thing is ever since I had the Mirena out I started using the ovulation kits 2 days post removal and up until I used my last test I tested positive for ovulating EVERYTIME with the test line being darker then the control line so I know I wasn't misreading the tests. I have taken some pregnancy test but BFN. I just want to know is anyone has had any of these symptoms or know anyone that has, Im also really bloated and gassy- any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

So I took a test on the day my flow was due the 22 of Oct and it was a BFN. I was heartbroken so next day no flow, it is now the 25 Oct and I still have not had a period....I am not sure if it is in my mind I think i am but not sure if my mind is just tricking my body to think i am. Sweetie...I am having the same exact problems!!!!! I had my mirena removed on 9/30/09, and I bleed the next day, but only for 2 days. My husband and I started ttc on 10/3/09 to currently. (Every other day) Having read other's post, it's normal to bleed after removal, BUT this is not our AF. Since my removal, I haven't had any bleeding, although I've been having CRAZY cramps for the past 2 weeks, feeling like my AF is on the way. I've also experienced the discharge the same as your's as well. I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet, I'm afraid to see the BFN, although I've been having all the symptoms of pregnancy. For the past week and a half, my cramps have been very consistent (daily), I've had headaches constantly, and every morning I wake up feeling sea sick. I've also had sharp pains (right side) and have been extremely gassy. But I'm usually due for my AF from the 14 or 15 of every month, and it hasn't showed up yet, although it may not get here up until another 3 months so I've read through the postings. But I'm feeling the same way.....you are not alone!!!!! (If we could get some advice everyone, that would be great!) But just keep me posted on your progress as I will do with mine!!!!!

I finally ate my fear and after getting a bfn on 10-22 I am now 3 days late and not wanting to see another bfn I retested and i finally got my BFP!!!! I had the IUD in for 2 years and have been trying for about 5 months with all bfn. I almost gave up but I am glad I tried for just one more month.  Good luck to everyone may you soon see your BFP too......

My problem is I dont remember when I'm supposed to start AF bc I havent had her in over 3 years and everytime I take an ovulation test it comes up positive for LH surge, weird. I had the same symptoms you are having now. Even the glob! I was weirded out. I think that is when I was ovulating though, that is when I should have been. I didn't take the OPK's but after all that discharge, I was late and got my BFP this month. I had mine out in June though and this just happened last month. We didn't try our first month. Doctor said your uterus isn't ready to nourish a baby yet. So it took me about 3 months which was perfect. I am 6 weeks and 4 days today! Hope this helps.

Please keep in mind that miscarriages are EXTREMELY common after mirena.  Your wall is very thin and you need to give your body 3 to 4 months to build up the lining again.  I'm not trying to discourage you just want you to be aware.  IF you read all the post's there are several women that ended in miscarriage when getting a BFP with in the first few months after removal. I had mine removed on May 20th and got my BFP Oct 13th and I'm scared it will happen to me since I got my BFP in 5 months.  My Dr told me to allow at least 3 months. Just wanted to offer some advice.  So look at it this way if it doesn't happen right away it's your body's way of getting ready for it a few months from now. :) Good luck to you!

I felt the exact same way as Brysonsmom.  I have an 8yr old boy and a 2yr old boy.  I am 30 will be 31 in Jan.  At one point I was like yup I want another one right now! then thought maybe we should wait a bit longer.  My hubby wanted one really bad he is 11 yrs older than me.  Plus the plan was to have the last 2 close together.  I got my BFP on Oct 13th with makes the due date June 19th.  So if everythign works out my 2yr old will turn 3 on June 12th! They should be great friends! :)

Same problem here. Had my Mirena removed on Oct 15th. I had sex the day before and the day after and the doctor warned me that if you are ovulating during the time of removal, you can indeed get pregnant up to 5 days later since sperm lives for 5 days. I was told to expect AF within about a week but no signs at all! After reading everyones post it seems like most people experience some type of bleeding after removal, but again, nothing here. I have had a clear discharge, nothing really unusual, but I have had cramps from about the 18th to now. I also have extreme gas and bloating that I cant seem to get rid of and nausea not just in the morning, but all day. And that bad taste in my mouth that wont go away! I took a test on 23rd but BFN. Since I havent had an AF since Feb 2006, I have no way of predicting when to expect AF!! But I really really really feel pregnant.....Im starting to think this is all in my head!

I can really relate about being scared to take any more tests.  My AF was due on Oct. 5th-9th (28-32 day cycles) and I still haven't had anything.  I've taken lots of tests, all BFN.  I haven't tested for about a week, so maybe I'll pick one up after work today.  I'm just getting sick of the BFN and I'm almost scared to look :(

just wanted to up date everyone! had my mirena removed 0ct. 13th, 2 days later a little bit od spotting for 48 hrs, then the 3rd day a couple of hrs of very heavy bleeding. since then nothing. all of mtopk have been negative. still feel sick off and on! dont know when to expect AF havent had a period since nov. 06 and have always had irregular periods.
so its a waiting game! wont be to disapointed if it doesnt happen right away! just trying not to lose my mind in the process, because then it wont happen!

I haven't taken any ovulation tests...my husband and I ttc every other day.... And I don't want to take a pregnancy test, because I'm sooo afraid of seeing a BFN. I called my doctor today and told her about all the many "pregnancy symptoms" I've been having. She told me to take an at home pregnancy test, and if it's negative, then my body is prolly having these symptoms because it's trying to get use to the hormones not being released in my body anymore. I think  I'm going to wait until Nov. 15 to see if my AF arrives. If it doesn't come then, I'll take a test! I'll be sure to keep you posted!!!!!

I had my IUD removed on the 23 of August...I have been trying to concieve and Im just a bit confused. No baby yet. AF due to arrive tomorrow or Wed. On the ovulation calender when it ask you how many days in a cycle is that how many days you count from the first day of your last period or from the last day of your period. I have been looking for info but I have no idea if I'm doing this right and I may be missing my fertile day all together depending on how you count. I would really love some info it would be greatly appreicated by anyone who could give me adivice.

Like babiesRus2 said, you count from the first day of your period. I read this past week that some women don't ovulate in that 14 day window. This only makes things harder to predict but look for the physical signs of ovulation. The truth is, you can ovulate between day 10 to day 16.

I am so nervous i had my mirena taken out 09-29-09 and i got my AF on 10-14-09 just like i had been for the ever. The different websites say i can ovualte between 10/23-11/01 i dont like this planning a baby stuff cuz it makes me real nervous and anxious i really hope we get a bfp next month. My fiance and i would really like to be pregnant before we get married which is 06-19-10 and also we have only had sex once since AF left and that was on the 10-23-09. Congrats to all the BFPs!! I am in the same boat as all of you TTC. I got my mirena removed 10/20/09 and my boyfriend and I have been doing the deed everyday since. I had a little bit of bleeding after I had it removed but only for about 3 days and it wasn't all the time. maybe a couple times a day. I know its proably to early to take a pregnancy test but I took one today 10/27/09 and of course BFN. I took one because today my back is killing me (aching really bad), my breasts are a bit tender and I normally love food but today the thought of it almost makes me want to gag (not normal). Is it possible to be pregnant and have a BFN because it's to soon? Would it be normal to be feeling the "pregnancy" symptoms this early with a BFN? Sorry for the long post! Good luck to all TTC! *

It's been long since my last post.... i have been really busy but i have been reading the comments.

I had my IUD removed on 6/23 and have had my regular periods every 30 days except the last two (one at 24 days and the last one at 26 days) i am expecting my period on 10/31.... lets see what happens. I am not taking test (the first two months i took tests and they were BFN so i thought i am better off waiting for my period)...

it's been 4 months so i really don;t think about it that much anymore.
