How long until the bleeding stops?

Hi, I was just wondering how long after you have a vagina delivery is the bleeding suppose to stop... I had my baby on the 14th of this month and Im not sure what to expect, seeing as how this was my first baby. Also I was wondering when I can start using tampons rather than pads. The bleeding is very minimal, but wearing pads makes me feel like I have a diaper on. Thanks!

I was bleeding at my 6 week check up too.  You are not supposed to use tampons till after you have your 6 week check up either, but it took me a good year till I felt up to tampons again, good for you to feel so good.  I would just stick with the pads and ask your Dr. when you go in, hopefully you won't bleed for much longer, congrats on your little one!

Probably at least 4-6 wks. The more you overdo it, the more you will bleed. Take it easy as much as you can.

No idea on the bleeding, but on the pads I have a recommendation. I feel the same way about them. Try Always Ultra Thin with wings. They are MUCH less bulky.

With my 1st I was still bleeding very heavily when I went in for my 6 wk check-up.  They had to give me meds to make me STOP bleeding.  And, I was told not to use tampons until my doctor okayed it.  And that wasn't until after my bleeding stopped and I got my regular AF.  I know what you mean about the pads though.  I always said they felt like a pillow stuck between my legs...LOL
