I'm new to MedHelp and am glad something like this exists so hopefully I can finally get some info on hyperhidrosis.
I've never been diagnosed with hyperhidrosis but I don't know of anything else that can describe/explain the profuse sweatingSweating Sweating - absent of my handsHand or foot spasms Hand tremor and feet simulataneously. I also have heavy underarm sweatSweat electrolytes test Sweat test Sweating Sweating - absent when in emotionally charged situations but the underarm sweatingSweating Sweating - absent has somewhat dimished since my teens yet hasn't seem to decrease at all from my handsHand or foot spasms Hand tremor and feet.
I read a few of the 8 postings on hyperhidrosis but didn't see anyone post other symptoms that I'm having. In addition to excessive handHand or foot spasms Hand tremor and feet sweating, both will become extremely cold as if I've just placed them in a freezer. Once my hands or feet become cold they can swell at times which I think is odd. My hands and feet will become abnoramlly clamly and cold when faced with situations where i must shake/hold hands (work, interviews, church etc)so i know there's some mental connection to it then there are times when I'm just anxious about work/project and the water works turn on by themselves. Being in GA doesn't make it any easier in the summer as it seems that my body releases the excess heat through my hands/feet and across my stomach for no apparent reason.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has reported similar dead-like cold hands/feet with hyperhidrosis or if I should talk to my doctor to check for something else.
Also, someone mentioned being on medication for hyperhidrosis that was working great for them but never replied to give the name. Any ideas on prescriptions that help?
thanks,
KM
