OK I've been on birth control before and I just got off of it 2 month ago. A week later I started my period, 28 days after my 1st period (with out the pills) I had another one. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant ever since I quit taking my pills. The last day I've had a period was September 17th it is now November 15th and no signs of starting. NOTHING! I took 5 pregnancy test 3 were from Dolor Tree and they all said NO. Then I took 2 Wal-Mart brand and one said YES and the other one said NO. So I went to my doctor and they did a pee test and it said NO. What should I do? I know it can't be stress because in the past when I was it made me start early. I always had a period every month no mater what. I don't know what to do my doctor said to wait 2 weeks and try again. I'm only 18 going to be 19 in 9 more days so my age has nothing to do with it either. I'm also have symptoms like head aches blurred vision hungry more sleepy more sick in the morning NOT STARTING MY PERIOD seeing stars dizzy smelling weird things moody back hurts increase in size in my breast. I need some help
well false positives cant happen unless you are on fertility treatment....
you could have been pregnant and the pregnancy ended....usually 14 days after unprotected sex you will get accurate results... i think you need to see a different dr.... they cant refuse to give you a blood test....
pregnancy symptoms are very unreliable cause there could always be another cause....
are you living in the states or canada? you could go to a pregnancy resource center and they will give you a blood test
you could also ask your dr to do an std check and he will give you the blood test requisition and you could just write HCG on it
i live in canada so i have to take my bloodwork paper to a lab and i could easily write whatever i want on it

wow thats redicoulas doctors should be running tests i cant believe they havnt done anything about this if you ask me the one that said you should ignoar the positive result is out of his mind (or her)...
so will the other doc be giving you a blood test because if you ask me you should be recieving midwife checkups and have a scan booked.

i talk to two dr no1 will do a blood test its always a pee test :( really upsetting one doctor said it sounds like your body is confused that it was use to the pills and now its not getting anything and if nothing in 2 weeks take a pregnancy test again and they said that if i get 5 (-) and only 1 (+) that means i'm not pregnant and that said i could have dropped and egg and gave me a false (+) then another DR said it sounds like i'm pregnant that i should go off of the (+) and like you guys said my body could be just one of those who can't use a pee test she said its not normal to have 2 normal periods after i stop taking my pills and then i just stop having them and she told me to take another one and if that doesn't work that i should get a blood test from a dr well i need to be referred to a dr for that AND i ried calling the clinic that gave me the bad new about the pills to refer me to one and thats what they said!
i have symptoms like boobs getting bigger (but not sore) i got sick 2 times (but i didn't throw up and i went right back to bed and felt perfect when i woke up) not having me period i have weird cravings my back hurts i get really bad headaches MOODY cramps peeing more sleepy all the time the list goes one but the 3 most important symptoms i dont get are morning sickness tender boobs and getting bigger that i'm aware of my clothes are a little snug but thats it its like when i just take my jeans out of the drier kinda like that

well go get a blood test that would be most accurate!!!! since you did get a positive than that usually is right... some women just have lower hcg levels that dont register....
the pill and any hormone birth control can mess with your fertility even after you stop using it... but sounds like you could be pregnant! :)

well i have been ovulating i got off the birth control on 8/9/2011 and on 8/12/2011 was the last day of a normal period with out my pill then 9/15/2011 was the start of another one normal and it ended 9/19/2011 and then nothing all of October and November i talked to my clinic and they said the pills would have been out of my body with in 30 day of not taking them and my ovulation calendar says i'm 8 weeks and that i conceived september 19th
id go with the positive test you got even if it is just the 1 and go get a blood test its rare to get a faulse positive the only way this occurs is if the test was taken wrong as it detects the pregnancy hormone. if this is early pregnancy you may only be producing small amounts of this hormone and this could be why the test came back neg... id definatly go speak to your doctor and request a blood test. good luck trying to concieve :)
