Good luck! I hope you feel better soon.
I am so glad to hear that you are just going to go to a different hospital. Please let us know that you are doing alright when you get back.

my surgeon and i did that...they said the ct scans arent available yet...theyre still being processed whih is ****..all my friends from around my college are now tellin me they misdiagnos ppl all the time..
i shoulda known..they told me nothing was wrong with my gallbladder in oct and it was only workin at 14% and i had to gt it out..but its the closest hosp. and i couldnt drive ne further in the pain...the pain is goin into my back now..i think im goin to drive into PA tomm n go to the hospital there
Exactly...so if 2 hospitals are saying it's appendicitis, even though one of them is denying they said that, then you should really go back - especially if it gets worse. I know you must be frustrated that they're now saying they never said that. Don't you have any paperwork from the hospital that would show what they treated you for? That would surely say something about it, wouldn't it? And the CT scans? If I were you I'd get all the paperwork, including all films from the hospitals to show your surgeon.
You need to have the Surgeons fax number and mailing address. Then call the hospitals that did the CT scans. Ask for Records/Radiology Dept. Tell them you need your records faxed to your surgeon ASAP due to Appendicitis. They will be on the ball getting the surgeon all the info he needs because they don't know that there was a problem or contradiction. And believe me, the info will be in the CT report as well as in your records from Doctors notes and nurses notes. They wrote down EVERYTHING! Once they have agreed to fax everything and send the films by messanger to the surgeon, then call the surgeon and tell the nurse to be expecting the faxes and films and to please have the doctor call you as soon as he has had a chance to review everything. This should clear things up or at least give your surgeon cause for concern and have you rechecked. Also make sure to let them know that your pain is severe and they WILL respond. They don't want to be responsible for a misdiagnosis causing your appendix to burst. So give that a try and I think you will get the help you need. GOOD LUCK!!

the hospital is denying that they said my appendix is enlarged..im sry but my roommate and i have better things to do than to make up me neededin surgery when i dont- thats just ignorant.
A common person like myself who is not a dr wouldnt know that 7 cm is enlarged...so obviously im not makin it up..it hurts really really bad after i eat
If it's really appendicitis, you're symptoms are NOT going to go away...they'll only get worse! If you let it go bad enough it could rupture and turn into a life or death situation. I'm not trying to scare you, but appenicitis is not something you should mess with. Why would your surgeon be treating you for a UTI? You really need to get back and see a doctor right away...especially if it is excruciating pain. My husband had appendicitis, and it went long enough almost to the point of rupturing. He was 16 at the time and he just thought it was bad stomach cramps until he couldn't even tie his shoe anymore. When he got to the hospital they wheeled him in right away for emergency surgery. So, I have no idea how enlarged it would need to be before it becomes dangerous, but I would definitely not wait around for it to get worse. Good luck!
