Congratulations to you!!  Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster - but the end result is going to be great.  There is an awesome website out there that has TONS of support when you need it.  Not sure if this'll come thru or not, but it's www quitnet dot com.  Check it out!  Again - good job!!

thanks everyone. its hard, but its been 24 hours now. to a nonsmoker that seems very easy, but i just had dinner and boy!! anyway i am occupying my time cleaning and doing things around the house. i probably should go for a walk!! its cold out though and im a wuss!

You're right - to a non-smoker, to make it a whole day seems like a piece of cake.  NOT!  I know what you're going through.  I tried last month to quit and made it 12 days.  It was the weight gain that made me turn back.  Bad excuse, I know.  BUT, I decided that I'm going to lose some of this excess so I don't freak out if I gain a few pounds.  That website I spoke of was a lifesaver for me.  When I try again, I'll be using it for sure.  One thing I liked was that in the middle of the day, I could still smell my shampoo instead of smoke in my hair. One thing you may want to do is think of some of the stressers that make you want one, and figure out what you're going to do when/if they hit (other than grab your pack of smokes).  That's something I wish I would have done.
Anyway, good luck to you.  Stay strong - and you CAN beat this!

thanks! yes im crabby, my mil arrives at the airport in 2 hours 20 min lol. we are fighting and boy that makes me want one. but after i cheated last night i couldnt get that stank off my hands. so you are right, i keep smelling how good i smell now.  ok i CAN beat this. hmmm maybe some valium would get me through the holidays!! lol.
