I gone to the doc. because I have not had a menstrual cycle for four months and so the doc. did some tests and he said that i have a cyst. But he said that he is not going to do anything about it for now. He wants to want a year before he will do anything about it and now i have pain and i told him and still nothing. I have been talking to so people about it and they thought that the doc maybe wrong. so i am going to see a other doc soon. Do you think that I am over reacting or not? Thank you for you thoughts.
Yes, that is deffinitly odd, that he wont do anything about your cyst for a year. I am glad that you are going to see another doctor befor finding out if that is correctCorrect (new formula). i also have a cyst, on my right ovary, but it's very small. I have been trying to get pregnant, so my doctor put me on clomid. If your cyst is very big, my doctor said they should remove it. I hope everything works out well for you. good luck.

The cyst is on my "L" ovary. The doc. said it is small and it may go away on its own but I don't think it will because its been 4 months. I have been reading up on this and all the paper work that I have read said that if it's going to go away it would by now. It says if its going to go away it would after your next one or two menstrual cycle but I'm not having any becuase of it. I have so many Q's to ask about it so I know if you have a lot of Q's Thats never a good thing. I belive that the doc should of anwer all my Q's and he did not.
yES THEY DONT DO ANYTHING UNLESS IT BECOMES A PROBLEM
MOST CYST WILL reabsorb into your body
I had one while pregnant and never caused any troubles
Now my sister had one years ago and hers became the size of a large grapefruit and had to be removed..(not trying to scare you)
but most dont cause a problem.
My mom had cysts on her ovaries and they waited a year before doing surgery. They did u/s ever 2-3 months to check and see if the cysts were growing or shrinking. The would shrink and then the next visit showed that they had grown and the doctor then scheduled her for surgery and had to have another u/s the day before surgery and the cysts has again shrunk. The Dr said nothing was cancious and it was up to my mom if she wanted them removed....however he advised if they grew anymore that he would recomend having them removed. My mother deceided to wait another 2 months and do another u/s and then would decide if she wanted surgery or not. The cyst had then grown and therefore she had surgery.
My doctor said that if it becomes larger then it might be a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys bit of a problem, and that is when i would need it removed. I was getting abdominal pains and ended up in the hospital because it busted. They can grow back after you get your period. But its nothing to be scared about. If you are looking to get pregnant or anything then ask your doctor about provera. That should bring on your period. Then the clomid to help you ovulate.
I would recommend going to a gynocologist. I had to be quite forceful with my doctor because I kept having abnormal paps, and she sent me to the gyn right away. I had a cyst, and he monitored it, it shrunk right away. I wasnt worried because he monitored progess (with ultrasounds) until it was not there anymore. I am sure you will be fine.
If anyone is into using essential oils, 'Dragontime' is for problems of the female reproductive system, and I am convinced it greatly with the shrinking cyst.
If they get smaller, that means they are not cancer.
I too have Ovarian Cysts, Multiple that often rupture and have sent me to the emergency room. My doctor prescibed me Ortho tri cyclin to shrink the Ovarian Cysts, it did help but my husband and I want a child so I have taken myself off the birth control. Talk with your doctor about hormone therapy which could possible shrink your cysts without rupture.
I went into my regular doctor because I was experiencing prolonged bleeding and irregular periods (I skipped months sometimes). However, when I took my ultrasound, they found that I had a few small cysts and he said he wasn't going to do anything, because they were small and would probably come back even if I removed them. Instead he put me on BC pills. But because the pills he prescribed didn't work, I was sent to a gyno and she said I had polycystic ovarian syndrome.
However, since I didn't take any horomone treatment until now, this polycystic ovarian syndrome contributed to the thickening of my uterus lining which is giving me all sorts of stuff now. So if your doctor isn't a gynochologist, you may ask your doctor to recommend you to one for a second opinion.
