I have a large labia minora, with a ton of tiny bumps on it.

My labia minora has gotten very large lately. I am sexually active. My labia minora has a tonnnnn of tiny bumps on it. They look like they sould pop, but I've never felt them. My partner has never said anything about it. But I am still worrried. Should I see a doctor? Any ideas what this is? I need help.

Your labia are normal! Not all labia are smooth. In fact, a lot have bumps. The bumps can be skin, papillae, fordyce spots, or just normal variation. The edges can be jagged due to the bumps. It is normal.

No two labia look the same. Our labia can have different textures (smooth, or bumpy), different edges (smooth or jagged), different colors (purple, pink, brown, black, nude, etc.), different sizes (3/4-4 inches), and all around look different. One side of the labia minora may be far larger than the other side, this is normal. Most labia are not identical. Heck, some women only have a labia minora on one side. Some stick out past the lips (labia majora), some are hidden. Some hug together, some fly apart. They are ALL beautiful and unique.

The answer is learning to love what you have and realizing it is not only normal but common. This is not a problem. It is normal. Look at tumblr's 'Large Labia Project' to see some of the variation that exists in labia - don't worry if you don't see a similar one, like I said, no two labia are the same. In survey's, men either like a long labia, or don't care.

Porn has RUINED what women think their labia should look like. Pornstars get their labia cut off and bleached. It is NOT an accurate depiction. If you look at porn from 10-15 years ago, they all had normal labia, ranging is size, color, and texture. In fact, the majority had labia that was 2+ inches.

Of course, with all  bumps, there is a possibility that you have an STD. However, if they have been there for a long time and not causing any other issues (burning, bleeding, stinging, etc) they are likely just a normal part of your labia.

The labia minora can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and the bumps you describe could be part of their normal texture.  Turn off safe search, and then try Googling "labia minora size" or "labia minora variation."  You'll find lots of non-pornographic informational sites that actually include detailed photographs of the female genitalia.  Chances are, you'll discover that your particular look is well within the realm of normal.  (And, please, ignore the sites that promise surgeries to reduce labia size.  Awful, backward stuff, that!)

If the bumps are painful, new, changing, itchy, bleeding, etc. then it would be worth speaking about them with a doctor, but otherwise there's a good chance that everything is just fine, and your partner enjoys you exactly as you are.
